Rose and Jane: Have tea
Who: Rose
fluthlu and Jane
cyan_maid
What: Tea party!
When: Tuesday, March 12th
Where: Room 429
Rating: G because Classy Ladies
It's just past one in the afternoon when Rose finally sends one of the castle ghosts along to Jane's room with an informal, overwhelmingly lavender invitation. An afternoon tea with the ulterior motive of discussing SBURB's more confusing genetic workings - what does one say? Rose had eventually decided on merely a place and a time, and continued with setting the small table in her clean-for-once bedroom.
Now, to wait for Jane's arrival.

So, perhaps a minute or so before the time on the invitation, Jane had made it to the fourth floor. She held a covered plate in one hand and rapped smartly on Rose's door with the other.

"Good afternoon, Jane. It's nice to see you."
She ushers Jane into the room. Don't mind the tentacle-beast posters, or the questionably-titled romance novels which may or may not be hiding in various places.

She lets herself be ushered and simply gazes curiously at the tentacle beasts and the snatches of romance titles. No judging on this front, no sir. After all, Jane herself has, collected some lovely mustachioed gentlemen to adorn her own walls with during her stay, and her friends have their own quirks.
Jane finds a place where she can set down the platter, and takes it off to reveal some tiny cheesecakes. She had found a recipe that did not require baking, and she was very proud of them. "Are these okay for tea? Petit-fours would have been better, I think..."
sorry for the delay! D:
"Rest assured, those will be just fine. Petit-fours are terribly cliche." She nods her head at the chair opposite her own, and reaches for the teapot - cat-adorned, of course. And speaking of cats, Edgar and Constance have jumped warily off of the bed to come investigate Jane's shoes!
"I hope you're not allergic. I'm afraid my room is a bit heavily adorned with cat fur."
Is okay! Don't sweat it! :B
Oh, those are definitely cats. They don't seem to be of the mischievous god-powered type, though, so Jane smiles at them and reaches down to scratch behind their ears.
"I'm not, don't worry. It would have made GCat more of a nuisance than he already was."

She watches Jane scratch their ears, and smiles. "The larger one, Edgar, was a present from John some time ago. Constance is only a few months old, however."
no subject
But GCat was in the past, and Edgar and Constance are in the present. Jane coos a little at them. "That was awfully nice of him, to give you a cat! Where did Constance come from, then?"
no subject
She blows on her tea a bit to cool it off, and watches this admittedly adorable behavior. "Well, he is an awfully nice person. Nearly obscenely nice, one might say. As for Constance, she was merely part of a litter being given away late last year."

Jane hums in agreement. John IS nice! He's a good guy. If she actually was his grandmother, she'd be proud of him, but she is most certainly not, so she is simply glad that he is nice.
"Well it seems to me that she has found a wonderful home." She gives both cats one final pet on the head before letting them go about their business.
