Nothing like a day at the movies

Who: Nora and ANYONE
What: Start of the movie theatre lock-in loss.
When: Saturday 3/16
Where: The movie theatre
Rating: Oh let's say R for language

Cramped seats, popcorn dripping with butter, sticky floors and drinks that never seem to last through the whole flick. There really is nothing like going to the movies.

Word had spread through the week since Nora had issued her blanket invitation to the castle and the day had finally come for a movie marathon at the theatre. The popcorn was hot and the projector was ready. All that remained was for everyone to show up and pick a movie

((OOC: Before the movies, during the movies, Midnight. Feel free to put up your own sections. Threadjacking encouraged!!))

Danny watches the tiny guy climbing up the seat with some confusion. The castle had doll people now?

But whatever he was, he looked like he could use some help. And Danny never had been able to resist the urge to help.

"Hey, you need a lift?"

"Oh, um--"

He jolts back a little, startled, before peering up at the newcomer with timid curiosity. Danny seems nice enough, though, and after another dejected glance up at the seat, 5 nods.

"Yeah, if that's okay. Thanks..."

"Don't worry, I wouldn't have offered if I didn't want to help."

He bends over and carefully picks up 5, then slowly transfers him to the seat. If his hands are a little colder than is normal for a human, it probably isn't noticeable in the air conditioning of the theater.

"Still, thanks a lot. You didn't have to go out of your way."

He cracks a small smile, situating himself comfortably atop the seat as best he can once Danny sets him down. He doesn't sense anything different about the boy; he's just grateful to have some help, even if he's sometimes a little disheartened by the fact that his size makes it harder for him to get around.

"I don't think we've met, have we...?"

"Don't think so. I'm Danny.

Deed done, Danny leans back in his chair again and grins.

"I'm 5," he replies, already sounding a little less nervous than he had previously.

"Do you know what movie they're going to show? This is the first time I've done anything like this."
schrodingersghost: (fenton - you knew all the time)

"Huh, cool name." And Danny meant that. He'd never met anyone with a number for a name before.

He shrugs. "I haven't heard. But hey, if it sucks we can just make fun of it. That's half the fun."

"You... really think so? Everyone seems to think it's strange..."

He sounds genuinely surprised, though flattered at the same time. The tiny doll glances back toward the still-blank film screen, and a vague look of worry crosses his face.

"Make fun of it? Uh, I guess... I don't know if I'd want to do that or not, I mean..."

"You know, one of my friends always used to tell me that different was good. I guess she kind of had a point."

Danny grins. "Hey, don't knock it until you've tried it. There's a trick to watching terrible movies. They're much better if you don't take them seriously."
