Nothing like a day at the movies

Cramped seats, popcorn dripping with butter, sticky floors and drinks that never seem to last through the whole flick. There really is nothing like going to the movies.

Word had spread through the week since Nora had issued her blanket invitation to the castle and the day had finally come for a movie marathon at the theatre. The popcorn was hot and the projector was ready. All that remained was for everyone to show up and pick a movie

There is definitely something hitting Jane's head, and she reaches up and her hand comes back with some popcorn!

"Oh! What the..." She looks around curiously for the culprit.

Nora's covering her face with one hand and giggling. That might be a pretty good hint.

Yeah, she sees you, and she'll smile sheepishly and wave. No hard feelings over here! It's movie night, after all.

"I hope you didn't toss ALL your popcorn my way."

Nora returns that wave with a grin "Of course not! Then I wouldn't have anything left to throw at people who talk or do annoying shit during the movie."

She chuckles. The voice is familiar. "Good point. You're the one who organized this, right?"

"I did, yeah." Her smile widens. Hey, does this mean she's popular? God she hopes not. She never wanted to be popular. It's all good, though. "I'm Nora, Nora Diniro."

But if you're popular in a magic castle, then it's the good kind of popular and not the bad kind. Jane smiles at the name.

"Ooh! You're Hard Harry's friend! My name is Jane."

That's true. She'd take magic castle popularity over any other kind any day.

She laughs "I'm his girlfriend, actually. It's nice to meet you, Jane."

Jane nods and smiles. "Ah, I see! It's nice to meet you, too."

She then looks out at all the people around. "Everyone seems like they're having a good time, and it hasn't really started yet."

She grins, looking around herself. She really is happy that so many people showed up after all.

"Yeah, isn't it awesome! This is gonna be even better than I thought it'd be."

"Do you know what we'll be watching yet?" Jane asks, turning back to Nora.

[eat_me_beat_me]

"Harris Mueller's Sick Day" Nora smiles. "It's from a few years before when Mark and I are from. It's a pretty hilarious movie."

[cyan_maid]

"I think I might have seen that one once! Or something similar-sounding." Or perhaps Jake had rambled about it to her before? All his movie talk starts to blend together after a while. She almost misses it.

"Well if you haven't seen it yet you will now!" She laughs.

[cyan_maid]

"You're right! Hoo hoo!" Wow, Nora is pretty cool. Why haven't they really talked before?

[eat_me_beat_me]

She grins. Jane's pretty awesome, herself, they should definitely try to hang out some other time when they can talk more.

"We'll have time for another one tonight, too, if you have any requests.]

"I might have one or two! But I'm kind of interested to see what everyone else will want to watch." They are all from different worlds, right? Surely the castle has access to movies not from Earth.
