Nothing like a day at the movies

Cramped seats, popcorn dripping with butter, sticky floors and drinks that never seem to last through the whole flick. There really is nothing like going to the movies.

Word had spread through the week since Nora had issued her blanket invitation to the castle and the day had finally come for a movie marathon at the theatre. The popcorn was hot and the projector was ready. All that remained was for everyone to show up and pick a movie

He hid a chuckle by taking another drink of his beer and settling back in his set. This whole situation bordered on the dangerously normal that it was almost surreal, but it was nice to indulge in for a little while. Life in Paradisa was too prone to shifting. His relationship with Vicious less so, or maybe just on a more subtle level, given that the other man was terribly set in his ways. Nudging Vicious out of that on occasion was turning into a regular side project.

Gren shifted and propped a foot up on the back of the seat in from of him, leaning just slightly sideways so that he leaned shoulder to shoulder with his comrade. Which was about as far as his daring stretched at the moment.

The move earned Gren a sidelong glance, but he allowed it. The theater was dark, no one cared what anyone was doing, and he'd had just enough beer to make it seem almost comradely, which, despite the ghosts such a feeling threatened to drag up, he found he did not mind.
