[This is gonna be a long week for Mitsuru and Larry. They were suddenly burdened in taking care of a girl who thinks they are her parents. To make things worse, she really does look like the both of them, and both adults have matching wedding rings!

Awkward. But the two friends(?) decided to play along the Castle's current prank and actually act like a married couple on a vacation. These are their shenanigans. Dun dun]

[While she had gone on about her little fantasy on the way, he probably made a comment about 'Knights of the Round Table' along the way. Not that the kid knew what Area B7R was, but it seemed appropriate enough.

When she skips over to the game, he'll wander over behind her- reaching over and setting the game up on Normal mode since he wasn't about to let her have the luxury of 'Easy' mode. This game must not have been played often or there were other 'aces' around, seeing that the game's difficulty was still on Ace mode when he set it...

He'll look at her and wave a hand to the seat, complete with a typical cockpit setup.]

Think you can manage learning the controls yourself, nugget?

[Mariko jumps on the cockpit-styled seat. She waved her legs and stared at the big bright screen in front of her]

[He'll let her get situated before he reaches over again to start the game for her, a smirk on his face again.]

Time to dive into the fireworks.

[Mariko got her hands on the controls with an excited smile on her face]

[He'll take a seat in the adjacent machine, but he won't be setting anything up for co-op yet. He just needed to watch her and get off his leg.]

Bandits at twelve o'clock.

[Luckily for Mariko, she's played this game before, but at home and not on the arcade]

Oh no!

[She managed to lock-on one of the enemy fighters and fired a missile at it. She knows the controls alright, but she's still slow]

[He can tell she's at least familiar with it, and in a way he's not surprised. She'll never get anywhere if she's always that slow though.]

Keep an eye on your radar, there's a bandit on your tail.

[But being a kid, her attention span is all over the place. She turned her fighter jet around, slowly still, but she managed to fire at the enemy jet]

I got 'im!

[Being a kid is absolutely no excuse. First mission or no, Pixy is half wondering if the castle's making the game go easy on her. She shouldn't have been able to take that guy head-on without getting shot. ...not to mention, with how slow she is, she'll be toast at the first wave of aces. Or when she encounters stealth aircraft.]

Pay careful attention to your surroundings, kid. You're going to have to get better reaction time than that. If an enemy ace catches on, you're gonna get yourself shot down.

[He's criticizing her performance, but at least he's doing it nicely- trying to keep up the 'fatherly educating' thing. And he is giving her benefit of the doubt because there's probably a learning curve to going from controller to flightstick. ...but she's still slow.]

[The game is really being nice to the kid for some reason]

[She puts more force on moving the controller. It helped with the speed, but she's waving the camera all over the place. Mariko just laughed. It doesn't seem to matter if she gets shot down, at least she's having fun and spending time with her dad]
