053 Spells Cast
Who: Phoebe Halliwell and Peter Petrelli
What: Date night!
When: Friday afternoon/evening
Where: Minigolf and... oh who knows.
Rating: Mostly cutsey fluff within. Let's say PG-13. May be subject to change.
Between the earthquake, the Event Horizon and the arrival of Mary and Penny things had been rather hectic for Peter and Phoebe for the past few months. They'd been spending so much time taking care of others and letting emotional wounds heal that they hadn't really been able to take time for themselves.
It was high time to do just that.
They needed something out of the ordinary for them. Something outside their usual dinner and a movie or day at the beach. It took some thinking but finally Phoebe came up with a brilliant plan. She took Peter out to a late lunch, keeping their final destination a complete secret. She couldn't help the grin on her face as they rounded the street corner and the sign for minigolf came into view.
"So. Do you think you're up to par?" Sure it was bad but she just can't help herself sometimes.

She makes a face in his direction as she tries to line up her shot, "I didn't even think that was possible."
She taps her ball and it rolls true... until it skims around the edge of the hole and ends up a few inches past it. She rolls her eyes and walks over to tap it in.

He saw she was finished with her turn, so he moved with her to the next hole. "I miss him sometimes," he added. "Is that weird?"
no subject
With another squeeze she let go of his waist and moved to drop her ball, lining up her next shot. This one went further, actually making it all the way down to the green before rolling to a stop. "I don't think that's weird at all. Our father walked out on us when we were young. We found out a few years ago that it was because Grams told him to leave but when we were kids all we knew was he left. Prue never forgave him. She hated him, really. I was so young when he left that I never even really remembered him..." She paused, looking up at him, "But I still missed him and wished I could know him. I still loved him even though he left us."

"We can't help it," he concluded. "Kind hearts like ours. We love people even if they don't deserve it." He hit the ball harder than necessary and bounced it into a water trap.

She gave him a playful nudge, going up on tiptoe to kiss his cheek. "We love people who don't deserve it... but not half as much as those who do."
no subject
"Lucky us, to deserve it."

She beamed at him, looking the most relaxed she had in a while, "I know I feel pretty lucky."

She rested her hands on his hips and whispered, "Maybe a few dozen."

"I think it's my turn."

Whoops. She was falling behind, wasn't she? She quickly followed behind, grinning at him, "Only if you can keep it out of the water this time." Trash talking was allowed, right?
no subject
"You'd better be careful or I might not keep you out of the water, either," Peter retorted playfully. He tapped his ball forward, making it almost to the hole.

Tapping the ball she sent it bouncing off the obstacles, ricocheting off of rocks on its way down towards the hole. It finally came to a stop... after hitting Peter's ball further away from the hole.
