Martel was out in the garden on her down time, and for once she wasn't playing her panpipes. No, she had decided the garden needed some more flowers. And not just any flowers. The fandalia flowers she had gotten from home for Christmas had flourished in her room, and were growing out of their large pot. So Martel had taken it upon her to take a good portion of them out to the courtyard and into the garden. She intended to plant them by the truffula tree, and hopefully they would grow around it into a field of white fandalia flowers. She had also brought her Oddish out, who was currently pretending to be a plant in the corner. Every so often it moved and made a noise, but otherwise it stood silent, soaking up the rays of the sun.

She had just dug a small hole, and was placing a few of the flowers into the hole, covering it up with dirt. Then she stood up, looking around and spoke mostly to herself:

"I suppose I can spread them out a bit, to make sure they do grow."

Rise steps a little closer and crouches down, peering a little closer at the flowers.

"I hope they keep growing! ... It'd be nice to have flowers from everyone's worlds here, wouldn't it?"

She's sure there's other worlds out there with flowers she's never seen. And it's always nice to have something to remind you of home...

"It would be. I bet there are some rather interesting ones out there." She looks up at Rise. "I'm always trying to learn things about other people's worlds. Especially Earth, since so many people seem to come from there."

Oh, right... Rise really should have guessed that Martel was from one of those other worlds! Not just because of the flowers, either... though you never can tell with castle residents. Even some Earths are really very different from others.

"What's your world called, Martel-san?"

Even as she asks, she wonders if maybe she knows someone else from the same world...

"Aselia." She pauses, before she adds, "You may have heard it called Tethe'alla or Sylvarant."

Actually, one of those does sound familiar...

"Oh! You're from Colette-chan's world?"

Wow, she didn't actually expect that! She just sort of idly wondered.

"... Why are there different names for it?"

"Yes, I am." Sometime somebody is actively going to notice how much Colette looks like Martel and vice versa.

"And that's a rather long story."

"I don't mind! I'd like to hear more about it!"

She wanders over towards another curious plant (actually Martel's Oddish) as she speaks. But she pauses as a thought occurs to her...

"Um... unless it's something you don't wanna talk about, I mean..."

"It's not completely a secret." But, she can be vague. "Aselia was split into two worlds after a war ended to keep them apart. The two countries-Sylvarant and Tethe'alla-now exist side by side on shifted dimensions."

She doesn't like it, and it wouldn't have had to happen for so long if her brother hadn't decided not to germinate the seed.

"'Dimensions'?"

She looks up from the Oddish-plant, tilting her head curiously.

"So... people can't travel between them or anything?"
