Let it grow, let it grow
Who: Martel and you!
What: Planting flowers in the garden.
When: Today!
Where: Outside in the garden
Rating: ...T, just to be safe?
Martel was out in the garden on her down time, and for once she wasn't playing her panpipes. No, she had decided the garden needed some more flowers. And not just any flowers. The fandalia flowers she had gotten from home for Christmas had flourished in her room, and were growing out of their large pot. So Martel had taken it upon her to take a good portion of them out to the courtyard and into the garden. She intended to plant them by the truffula tree, and hopefully they would grow around it into a field of white fandalia flowers. She had also brought her Oddish out, who was currently pretending to be a plant in the corner. Every so often it moved and made a noise, but otherwise it stood silent, soaking up the rays of the sun.
She had just dug a small hole, and was placing a few of the flowers into the hole, covering it up with dirt. Then she stood up, looking around and spoke mostly to herself:
"I suppose I can spread them out a bit, to make sure they do grow."

He knew it was wrong, of course. He kept away from people to stop himself from harming them. To stop himself from being a poisonous influence on anyone else. But, true to form, he'll indulge in what he shouldn't, for the time being.
He's been watering the truffula daily, often staying behind to just watch it. To hope that it will fix things back home, too. To prove that all was not lost. He smiles as he sees Martel, hobbling over on his crutches, a watering can dangling from his belt.
"Hey you."
He recognises the flowers, and feels the slight pang in his heart that the child named after them hadn't shown up this year. He knows it was for the best, especially with his own mother still at large, who would probably do something to ruin his magical alternate universe daughter.
"Prettying up the place, huh?"
no subject
She refused to even think otherwise.
"Here to water the tree?"
no subject
"They do look nice out here."
no subject
She moves over to a new plot to plant a few more and watches him. "How's your leg doing?"

When he sees Martel, he perks up and gives a smile. Seeing Martel always brought a smile to his face; maybe because she was so rarely without one herself. It's been a bit since he last seen her, so he figures there's little harm in going over to her.
With a smile, he walks over to her.
"Good afternoon, Martel."

He notices the flowers at Martel's feet, and her dirtied hands.
"Are you planting?"

Yeah.
Which is why he's not afraid to walk over to Martel, dipping his hat to her as he tries to avoid trampling the newly planted flowers. "Ciaosu, Martel!"
no subject
...Until she saw that hat. The hat with the thing on it. The thing that looked like it was going to jump off the fabric of the hat and attack her.
"What in Origin's name are you wearing!?"
no subject
...And hey don't diss the hat! The hat is cool. He reaches up and tugs on it some at that, giving her what passes for an annoyed look when he's an infant.
"My new hat, since Tsuna still has my old one."
no subject
And she's not focusing on him giving Tsuna his hat yet, since his new hat is offending her monster-killing sensibilities.
"The thing on it looks like a demon from Niflheim that crawled out of the Ginunngagap to eat someone's face."

"Your flowers are quite lovely - may I ask what they are? I've never seen their like before."
no subject
"They're Fandalia flowers. They grow on my world. I got some from the castle for Christmas, and they have overgrown their pot."

super late but still tagging because Martel... D;
"Martel-san...?"
Rise hoped she remembered her name right. Before she could get any sort of response, though, she suddenly started to gush about the flowers.
"Ooh, those are pretty! Are they from your world?"
She assumed she would have seen them already if they were native to Paradisa...
Tis fine!
no subject
Then, turning her attention back to the flowers, she starts to give them a curious look.
"How did you get them here? Can you wish for flowers?"
It's not something she would have thought to try, honestly. Not that she can think of any particular flowers she'd like to see that aren't already here...
