Expedition Log 1

[lara_the_explorer]

What: Lara's arrival to Paradisa

In the middle of the woods, one could hear rustling bushes and some branches snapping as a female figure in the dark is running with a torch in hand.

"Sam! Reyes! Jonah!" the woman called out. "Shit... What is this place? I could have sworn we got out of that island..."

She looks battered, bruised, and armed with two mismatched handguns on her thigh holsters. She looks like she's been through hell and back, with dried blood, torn clothes and a thousand-yard stare. She doesn't even care about possible wolves, with what she's been through, wolves don't scare her anymore. She just wants to find her friends.

And after a minute of walking, she could see already the exterior of the castle from a distance. Not sure about what's in there, so she grabbed her gun and headed towards the castle grounds...

"Journals? What do you mean?"

"There should have been a small book next to you when you woke up here."

[lara_the_explorer]

"All I have is my father's journal with me..." Lara checks her pockets, and right on top of her father's journal is another hardbound book. She took it out to check. "This wasn't here before"

"Everyone who arrives here receives one. They're used for communication."

[lara_the_explorer]

Lara opened the book to see how it works. Her eyes widened at the sight of letters forming out of thin air, especially the words Conan just said a second ago.

"Amazing... How does this work?"

[deductiongeek]

"No one has figured that out yet."

He was still annoyed by that.

[lara_the_explorer]

"That is frustrating..." Lara sighed. But if it works, it works right?

"Sam? Are you there?" Lara said at the journal. She cringed a little. Talking into a book is just so weird...

Conan waits and listens.

[lara_the_explorer]

There was nothing. Lara sighed.

"God... I don't think it's working. Or if they're here..."

[deductiongeek]

"They could arrive later. It isn't common for people to arrive together."

[lara_the_explorer]

"Okay. I'll keep track of them using this... journal" Lara sighed. "Is there a place I could stay in here?"

[deductiongeek]

"In the castle." He crosses his arms behind his head and looks up at it.

"It provides a room for every person it brings here. There should be a room somewhere with your name on it."

[lara_the_explorer]

"That's awfully convenient. Is there a catch?"

[deductiongeek]

"It took something from you."

[lara_the_explorer]

"Great. That's not very scary at all... It seems I still have everything I was with the last time" Lara checks her pockets.

[deductiongeek]

"It could be a memory or an ability."

[lara_the_explorer]

"I'm not sure what I feel about that honestly"
