[Bofur's sitting quietly in a chair, his hat on his lap and his long dark hair spilling out loose across his shoulders. He frowns as he takes a clump of hair in one hand and just sort of...holds it for a second. He stares at it as though it might hold the answers to the universe and...twists it around his finger a few times.

He's forgotten how to braid.

Eventually he gives up and just puts his hat back on, feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable with his hair loose and grabs his pipe, muttering to himself in frustration.]

What: Santa and magical model railroads

Early this morning, North had had an idea. And being North, he couldn't resist putting it into motion as soon as possible. Within the space of a few hours he had drawn up the plans, collected the materials, and begun constructing a model railroad.

A model railroad filled with implausible leaps and jumps and loop-the-loops. A model railroad that could only work with the addition of a little magic.

And a model railroad that was now taking up a large chunk of the fourth floor hallway.

For non-believers that was all the could see.  But for those who believed in Santa?  They might be able to see him fussing cheerfully over the painted details on the train as he put on the finishing touches.

Messing about in the kitchen.

Who: Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins
What: Both hobbits decide to go down to the kitchen and start cooking! It is what hobbits love best.
When: 2nd June
Where: Cair Paradisa kitchens
Rating: E for everyone. Lots of mess and fun to be had.

Bilbo had managed to find himself the castle kitchens after a long and arduous journey down the many staircases. This place was rather huge for a hobbit, as he was not used to spending his days within such a grand building. He was missing his hobbit hole and his hobbit activities he used to get up to. So, the kitchen it was. After meeting Frodo, his relation, he decided to visit the kitchen for some cooking.

It was what hobbits loved. Bilbo missed the smell of home cooking and some baking sounded like just the right thing. He entered one of the castle kitchens, as he acquainted himself some. Now, what would they bake first?

Decisions.
