Who: Legolas and anyone.
What: NEW ARRIVAL ALERT! Oh, and exploring!
When: Oct. 25th.
Where: Just pick a place and we'll make it work. Love to anyone that finds the hippy elf in the forest.
Rating: G!
One moment he had been with Gimli, Aragorn and Gandalf, hearing messages passed to Gandalf from the Lady Galadriel. He'd been armed and ready to go to Edoras, content with the knowledge that Merry and Pippin were safe. Safer. And now he was...
Well, Legolas wasn't entirely sure where he was. He'd seen, in passing, the buildings of Men though never had he entered them. He'd been content enough to remain out of doors or in the forest. It reminded him very much of what he'd seen though. And this only raised the question of how he came to be here. Standing and doing nothing wouldn't answer his questions though, this he knew. Only by exploring could he find what he wanted to know and hopefully that would include a way back. It wasn't long after he started to explore that he realized that he was now also unarmed. His quiver was still on his back but it was empty of arrows and he no longer carried his knife or the bow that the Lady of the Golden Wood had gifted him. Guilt tore at him over the loss of such a precious gift. He knew that he could craft himself another bow but it would never compare to those of the Galadhrim.
Garbed in grey, most will find him, a cloak about his shoulders and unassuming. He was cautious, of course, because who knew if this was some trick of Saruman or of the Enemy.

/WAVES FRANTICALLY
It might have something to do with the pipeweed, a bit stronger than what he might usually smoke.
/WAVES AND CLINGS
Surprise surprise! It's a dwarf, but not Gimli.

Bofur smiles sheepishly. The elf looks a bit startled, after all, and that cough didn't sound too good. He'd heard that elves didn't smoke, but this, it seemed, was proof.
"'Ope I 'aven't been too much o' a disturbance."
no subject
"No, not at all. It was merely a surprise. I almost thought I'd found one of my companions."
Clearly he was disappointed, if only a bit. Gimli was a good friend but he in no way needed the company of the dwarf. He just enjoyed it.

Castle halls - also HIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!! :D
He certainly gets a change of scenery upon turning the corner and spotting a certain blonde Elf. The King Under the Mountain nearly chokes on the smoke from his pipe.
"By my beard..." He grumbles. "...another one."
HI THERE!
He tilted his head, just slightly, at the sight of the dwarf-king before inclining it slightly in greeting. Despite Thorin's words giving him little reason to be polite.
"Another one?"
no subject
"You are not the only Elf in this castle," Thorin pointed out. "I merely wonder why the blasted place feels the need to bring more Elves instead of more of my kind."
He is indeed lonesome for his Company - and is jealous that the castle has elected to bring another Elf.
no subject
"Who is the other?"
He had to ask that first. It was instinctive, almost, to want to reach out to another of his kind. There were other questions he needed to ask as well though.
"And who is it that brought me- us, I suppose is the better question- to this place?"

In the Forest!
The boy turns as he feels a new presence in the woods, and reaches out his mind in search. Was this a mind that could receive his touch?
/heaps love on
His mind wasn't closed to him but neither was he receptive to the touch. It wasn't a gift that Legolas had or, if he did, it was never something that he developed.

Forest Also!
[Seeing another figure in the forest, she decides it's high time to work on her stealth, and goes about trying to track him as quietly as possible.
Sorry North she still hasn't set her goddamn trackers.]/throws love at
You may be stealthy, miss, but you lack a few hundred years of experience that Legolas has. He'll dart quickly off the path and into the trees, moving lightly on his feet.]
/throws love back at ya! :3
[She curses under her breath, trying to pivot with him and losing him entirely, as well as breaking several twigs and a sapling in the process.]
[Ugh. Forests. It's much easier to sneak on an oil rig or a space ship.]
<33
Quick as he can, and it's something for an elf, he climbs up into a tree and crouches on a branch. Watching.]

Naturally, she notices him and approaches, offering a smile and a little nod.
"Legolas."

He turned a corner in the gardens, ambling, enjoy the cool press of sun on him, growing less comforting as the winter took stronger hold. He turned his gaze up, away from the winter flowers that dotted the pathway, and halted, staring openly at the golden hair and familiar dress.
"Legolas?" he asked cautiously, the other's back to him at the moment.
no subject
The sudden call of his name drew him away from those thoughts, turning to see who had called out to him. The voice wasn't familiar but it was his name, there was little that one could say that could be mistaken for his name. Looking the other over, he couldn't place a name to him. He wasn't anyone that Legolas had met in several hundred years.
Strange.
He looked elven but not.
"Yes?"
no subject
'Yes'? Just that? Ah, then he did not... Well, nothing for it, and it was hardly Legolas' fault was it? It brought a touch of sadness to him, but he shoved it back and away. No use pondering it.
"Ah, my apologies. It seems we have not met properly," he said, gliding up to Legolas and pausing a few feet from him, canting his head slightly, the jewels on his long ears sparking. "My name is Ashura."
He hoped that might spark something, anything, but in the past months, he found he had run out of hope for many things.

A friendly new elf! <3
An elf? Could it be an elf within the forest? The elf was tall and handsome, dressed in a garb of grey. Bilbo swallowed, before letting out a squeak of greeting.
The friendliest <33
"I imagine a hobbit would normally keep a much greater hold on mushrooms than that." It was just a gentle tease as the elf jumped down out of the tree and picked the basket up for Bilbo, carefully tucking the mushrooms back in.
"I hope that I haven't given you a fright."
Re: Bilbo loves Elves :D Unlike grumpy Thorin.
"You are far from home too then? I'm not frightened, no not at all. More in awe actually." He let out a nervous giggle then noticed the elf's bow. He seemed friendly enough.
everybody should love elves
