Who: Legolas and anyone.
What: NEW ARRIVAL ALERT! Oh, and exploring!
When: Oct. 25th.
Where: Just pick a place and we'll make it work. Love to anyone that finds the hippy elf in the forest.
Rating: G!

One moment he had been with Gimli, Aragorn and Gandalf, hearing messages passed to Gandalf from the Lady Galadriel. He'd been armed and ready to go to Edoras, content with the knowledge that Merry and Pippin were safe. Safer. And now he was...

Well, Legolas wasn't entirely sure where he was. He'd seen, in passing, the buildings of Men though never had he entered them. He'd been content enough to remain out of doors or in the forest. It reminded him very much of what he'd seen though. And this only raised the question of how he came to be here. Standing and doing nothing wouldn't answer his questions though, this he knew. Only by exploring could he find what he wanted to know and hopefully that would include a way back. It wasn't long after he started to explore that he realized that he was now also unarmed. His quiver was still on his back but it was empty of arrows and he no longer carried his knife or the bow that the Lady of the Golden Wood had gifted him. Guilt tore at him over the loss of such a precious gift. He knew that he could craft himself another bow but it would never compare to those of the Galadhrim.

Garbed in grey, most will find him, a cloak about his shoulders and unassuming. He was cautious, of course, because who knew if this was some trick of Saruman or of the Enemy.

A friendly new elf! <3

Bilbo was minding his business, as he usually does, whilst picking some mushrooms by the forest's edge. He dared not tread inside, for fear of what he may find inside the thick, wooded place. He bent low and picked a red, spotted mushroom, before placing it within his basket, which was already nearly full. He was going to go back to his hobbit hole and make himself some mushroom soup. Then, he spotted movement in front of him, by a tall tree. He straightened up and squinted into the gloom. He nearly dropped his basket at the sight before him.

An elf? Could it be an elf within the forest? The elf was tall and handsome, dressed in a garb of grey. Bilbo swallowed, before letting out a squeak of greeting.

Re: Bilbo loves Elves :D Unlike grumpy Thorin.

"Well, usually I would but I wasn't expecting to run into an elf like yourself. I did not know the forest was home to your kind, master elf." Bilbo had to crane his neck up slightly, just to gaze upon the elf's handsome features. It was like something out of a fairytale. The elves were really tall and very beautiful. He could hardly believe what he was seeing.

"You are far from home too then? I'm not frightened, no not at all. More in awe actually." He let out a nervous giggle then noticed the elf's bow. He seemed friendly enough.

Re: I know. But you know what Thorin's like :P

Bilbo wasn't sure how to address the elf, as he'd never met one before in his life. He'd met Men and dwarves but this was something else entirely. "May I ask your name, master elf? I am Bilbo Baggins of Bag End." He astutely bowed and tried not to drop anymore mushrooms out of his basket.

"If you are further than you imagined, then why are you within the forest?" Bilbo just found himself asking more questions than he had intended to. This was exciting meeting an elf.

"Legolas." Bilbo nodded and memorised the name. He wanted to see more of Legolas throughout the castle, as he found this elf to be very friendly. "Voices? You mean the trees talk from where you're from?" Bilbo had heard stories of talking trees, but he had no idea about it all really. Elves knew everything about the forest, as hobbits did not.

"The stones have voices? Really?" Bilbo was fascinated by it all. You could tell by his face. "I think you elves are such a magical race. By hobbit standards, of course." He shuffled a bit on his feet. What other magical things would Legolas tell him?

"Would you like to come around my hobbit hole for some tea, master Legolas?"

Bilbo's face shone at the elf's words. He actually wanted to come around to the hobbit's hole and eat. "Then, I shall begin preparations at once. Do you elves enjoy cake and tea or do you prefer something else?" He had no idea really. What did elves eat?
