TOKYO OPT-IN 1/4
Who: Opt-in characters
What: What is even going on and then there's a monster
When: Forward-dated to 10pm, 20/July
Where: Tokyo... or is it?
Rating: PG/PG-13
Whatever you were in the middle of doing, you suddenly find yourself in what appears to be an abandoned garage, in the blink of an eye.
There is a bunch of weird-looking technology everywhere, cables and wires connected to machines lined with blinking lights. There are screens all over the room, with grids and maps on some of them and scrolling, foreign text on others. One of the screens projects a constantly rotating image.
There's also a platform in the middle of the room. And you all happen to be standing on it.

And it's really looking like it's going to at this rate.]

There's barely a second that goes by before it pulls the trigger, so her reflexes better be good.]

This is easier, at least. Now she knows what to do. Get the gun, knock this thing out. She sprints forward, ready to attempt dodging but knowing she can take it if the thing fires again. Which it probably will, because her luck with these things tends to be bad.
Once she's close enough, she'll try to grab the gun and yank it away.]

And it hits hard.]

So it hits her and she's knocked to the side, but her grip on the gun is true. Using the momentum from the blow, Cass twists and brings her leg up, a kick aimed at it's neck in the hopes of at least stunning it. Let go of the gun so she can use it to club in the face, weird guy.]

It lifts the gun they're both holding into the air, probably trying to dangle her high enough off the ground where she'll have no momentum to try that again.]

This is just like the meta she was never supposed to fight, the thing that just kept knocking her down over and over. In the end it was repeated kicks to the neck that made it stay down, so maybe if she can just get it on it's back she can try that?]

If she could read it, there would be a weak spot to exploit, but it doesn't even seem to have a weakness at all, standing up under every blow she manages to land. Now it wants to bash her brains in and her first instinct is to leap forward and into it, wrapping her arms around it's waist to try to tackle it down. The gun comes down on her back with an impact that knocks the breath out of her, but she just keeps pushing forward.]

But now it's pushing back. And it is really, really strong.]

One hand moves up, blindly reaching for it's face so she can try to shove her fingers into it's... eye?]
no subject
WOW.
That slit thing is an eye or something, because it sure is viscous to the touch. And the thing lets loose a peal of enraged roaring, too. So that's... good?
Except now it's extremely mad and it just kind of shoves her.]
no subject
It shoves and she manages to get her hand under herself, flip over and land without falling. But once it's pushed her away she's right back in, hand shooting forward with her fingers curled into hooks, aiming right for his eye slit thingy again. It worked so well the first time, why stop when you're ahead?]
