Whatever you were in the middle of doing, you suddenly find yourself in what appears to be an abandoned garage, in the blink of an eye.

There is a bunch of weird-looking technology everywhere, cables and wires connected to machines lined with blinking lights. There are screens all over the room, with grids and maps on some of them and scrolling, foreign text on others. One of the screens projects a constantly rotating image.

There's also a platform in the middle of the room. And you all happen to be standing on it.

[When Maladict gets up to follow it, the creature stops and turns to face her again. It doesn't speak and it doesn't have a face to give any indication of what its thinking, but it's probably staring at her.

Then it reaches inside its cloak and pulls a bizarre-looking shotgun. So it's probably doing a little more than staring.]

[Maladict is not a big fan of guns. They aren't really a THING back home and her experiences of them in Paradisa have been less than pleasant. But she's at a disadvantage, and raises her hands carefully]

Okay, okay. Backing away.

[It doesn't seem to understand what she's saying, or what her gestures mean. Not that it shows any outward signs of confusion: it just doesn't seem to care to understand.

It raises the gun and fires at her.]

[Mal hits the deck pretty quickly, trying to roll out of her way. Jackrum's words coming back to taunt her. When it comes to the metal verses the meat, always be the one with the metal. Turns out she's not as good as a soilder as she hoped.]

[The creature lowers its gun when she dodges, and just starts slowly stomping closer again.

She might want to run.]

[Even Maladict knows when it's best to retreat, swearing in Borogravian under her breath, she struggles to her feet, starting to run and hating how SLOW she is]
