Who: Annie Leonhardt
stohess and........ YOU.
What: A newcomer explores the castle. What is going on? What is happen? What is this place evena all about? Why are there no walls? you know. Big ones.
When: The morning of September 6.
Where: Cair Paradisa.
Rating: ???
So this was a new world.
As impossible as it was, it was a relief. From what she initially discovered about Paradisa, it knew nothing of the taint of the titans... and humans, although still small in number, were thriving and free. It was leagues better than back home, where certain repercussions awaited her. Not that she was one to stray from reaping what she sowed, she couldn't help but refuse to accept punishment for something in which she couldn't remember her reasoning.
It was annoying, to say the least. But really, what did it matter? She was stuck here now, and here she would stay.
And so, she'd explore. She would get a feel for this so-called kingless castle, something completely separate from the fucked up political and miltaristic system she had seemingly left behind.
Not that this place was much less a prison...
(ooc. OPEN TO ALL, OPEN FOR ANYWHERE IN PARADISA. PUT WHERE YOUR CHARACTER IS IN YOUR SUBJECT LINE MAYBE? YEAH!
also i am at work right now, so tagging may be slow.
please let me know here here if you want to avoid canon spoilers!)

Though when she hears this other person speak, her mind immediately goes to the restriction of her home. Everything was regulated. People were cautious. People scared easily. And a lifetime of adhering to society's habits was hard to shake.
"Am I allowed to be here?"

"It's a free roof, you can be where you like."

In any case, she'd give him a simple glance before strolling up to the ledge. She cannot help but stare deep toward the horizon, taking everything in. It was just so... expansive.
"It's a bit odd to not be ruled."

hobby lobby
Because of this, Mabel wasn't looking where she's going as she walked about the castle, head down and eyes concentrated on the Critters of her in-game suburb. She had successfully managed to avoid bumping into anyone, affording just a brief glance up every now and then, but her luck was going to run out sooner or later. Without noticing, she walked right into the backside of another resident, her entire body crashing against them before she stumbled backward in embarrassment.
Immediately Mabel's head shot up and she took a look at her unsuspecting victim. The girl couldn't have been that much older than she was, but there was something about her appearance that still made her incredibly nervous. Those tired eyes and the lack of any expression made Mabel shrink a bit, clutching her game to her chest as she stumbled over an apology.
"Oh my gosh. I am so, so sorry."

She couldn't help but stare, expression only slightly less intense once she saw that it wasn't anything jumping at her. She also made no movement toward doing any sort of sympathetic... well, anything.
Even her response sounded tired. "Are you okay."
no subject
"Yeah! Psh, I'm totally fine! Are you okay? I so didn't mean to bump into you." She smiled a big, metal grin. "I guess I had a klutzy moment there..."

As such, she slid her hands into her pockets, and motioned to the small colorful box. "What's that thing?"

HOW ABOUT A RANDOM HALLWAY
She was on her way back from the library this time, whistling softly to herself as she examined the latest book she had pulled out from it, but paused when she looked up and noticed Annie.
"... Damn. You look like shit."
Blunt and to the point. Typical Ellie.

"I just got here."

"Harsh. I know how that feels, though. I'm still pretty new here myself."
Most people wouldn't consider a month as being still "pretty new", but compared to some of the others she's talked to, who have mentioned being around for years... that, added to her hard time settling in, means that yeah, she still feels new.
"Has anyone else filled you in on the weird shit going on?"

gimme a kitchen
Because as great as homegrown (or homesmoked...) and locally supported food is, the townspeople in the Castle Royale just don't seem to know what fucking peanut butter is. And sometimes a guy just needs some peanut butter. It's a real problem.
Anyway, Brock is in the kitchen, spreading peanut butter on a piece of bread. He's still thinking about what kind of jelly he wants because this is a really important decision you know. He's also smoking because Brock is sort of a dick and smokes wherever he pleases.

Looking around for more than a couple of seconds told her a thing or two, and one of those things was, in fact, that this was a kitchen. And where there was a kitchen? There was food. (Sound logic at its finest.)
Now Annie wasn't one to splurge, but considering the fact she was trapped in that crystal for an indescribable amount of time, and considering the fact that the food here was supposed to be plentiful, she opted to begin searching for something to break that fast. Now to actually find something that looked even remotely edible.
She would proceed to approach the first door she saw-- a white one, with a metal handle-- and immediately pulled it open. Oh. Light inside? But where did the light come from? And why was it so cold?
Annie shut it quickly, squinting at the box before shutting it once. And opening it again. Huh...

So he just resumed making his sandwich, because let me reiterate that he really wanted this sandwich, but the girl... was playing with the fridge. Why was she playing with the fridge?
He glanced over again, watching her for a second. Maybe she was just...
No...
Okay, no. She definitely didn't...
Brock turned to face her fully, leaning one hand on the counter and the other on his hip. "It's a fridge."

In front of the clinic?
He's actually about an inch shorter than Annie. The only thing that makes him seem a bit taller is the absolutely ridiculous hair style of his.

So much for being polite.

They are the most polite people around.

Music Room for 500 Alex
He flipped one album over to inspect the track listing, then glanced up as he noticed someone walking in out of the corner of his eye.
"Hey, how's it goin'?"

But alas, she was from a bakcwards world with minimal in recreational pelasure, so she simply stares at all the large brass and wooden objects, as well as the flat pieces of hard paper and-- Huh.
Oh, she's beeing greeted. She'll look at this young man and shrug. "Relatively well..."

Floor Four, Hallway Between Their Rooms
Looking up again, she saw she was not alone in the hallway as a small blond she had never seen before left the room across from her own. A small, cute blond that couldn't be more than a year or so younger than her. Score. Time to make a new friend? You bet it was!
Approaching, she called out and waved a little, "Hi! Are you staying in 414?"
