I got the green light. I got a little fight.

Who: Cass, Steph, and Tim
What: Unwinding and recharging after all of the Gentlemen shenanigans.
When: Throughout the day.
Where: Bathaus.
Rating: PG-13 at most.



Weeks like this past one make it increasingly more difficult for Tim to want to continue on as the role of Alvin Draper. While he was useful at times, he wasn't quite as useful as he wanted to be. Back in Gotham, maintaining his civilian identity had been costly at times, but in the end the pros outweighed the cons. He's not sure if that's true for Paradisa.

Sighs softly, slouching back in the couch, and tilts his head backwards so he's looking up at the ceiling. At least the madness is over for the time being, although he's already dreading what Paradisa will have in-store for them come Halloween.

"It's all Steph's fault." Try as he might, Tim's not able to completely fend off his snicker. If Steph's going to blame him, he might as well shift the blame her way.

[secondchances]

"No way, you're just a boy," Steph laughs, and Cass can probably tell what's coming even before Steph frees her arms to tickle Tim's sides.

[hellofist]

Somehow, everything always seems to lead to a tickle fight.

And Cass is ready for it, reaching out to tickle Tim just when Steph's hands reach him so they can perform a double attack.

[dorkwonder]

"Hey!" Tim should have known it would lead to this. He starts to laugh while squirming to get free. Lets go of Steph and attempts to roll over and off of the couch.

[secondchances]

"No! Nononono, stay!" She's glad they all have their voices back right now, because she's missed laughing at Tim's freaking out. She tries to shift his weight (and Cass') back towards the back of the couch. "You're gonna make Cass fall!"

[hellofist]

No way, Cass is abandoning the sinking ship that is Tim's back, rolling off him so she lands on top of Steph instead. He can fall if he wants, they'll just get up and chase him down once they've gotten their cuddle fix.

Steph's almost able to pull Tim back until Cass abandons ship. Then Tim yelps in surprise as he ungracefully tumbles off the couch and lands on the ground with a loud thud.

"Ooof!"

Fortunately, Tim looks a-okay. If he has any injuries they can be found in his ego.

[secondchances]

"Whoops."

Steph doesn't seem too upset, wrapping her arms around Cass and lifting her head to make sure Tim didn't crack his open. Good? Good.

"You seem to have fallen."

[hellofist]

It's true, Steph does make the best pillow ever. Cass certainly looks happy where she is, peering at Tim down there on the floor.

"So far away, now. How will... you ever make it back?"

[dorkwonder]

Looks up at the two of them, resting his chin in the palm of his hand, and raising his brows.

"I don't know. Maybe if someone would be kind enough to lend a hand..."

Steph takes some time to consider this, then stretches out her hand. Not like she really has any leverage to help pull him, but there's a hand offered, so. That counts! For something.

[hellofist]

Totally counts, for sure. And it's probably way more helpful that the clapping Cass was going to do. Lending a hand is the same thing as giving someone a hand, right?

Tim just gives Steph a look. Fortunately for Tim, his true-blue buddy shows up. Ace saunters into the room and immediately moves over to Tim.

Steph's hand is smacked out of the way by Ace's wagging tail. The beloved doggie bows his head, gingerly licking Tim in his face. Tim finds himself chuckling while he sits up straight and pets Ace between his ears.

[secondchances]

That damn dog. He and Tim are adorable, but please, Ace. She knows you sleep on her pillow when she's gone.

"Looks like Tim doesn't need us, Cass."

[hellofist]

Aww, hi Ace. Even Cass reaches out to pat him as he goes past, but his destination is clear. Once he's gone, she lifts up on her elbows to look down at Steph.

"Guess he got... accosted, to being alone."

Accustomed. Whatever.

[dorkwonder]

That damn dog is the one at Timmy's side, not his girlfriend. Just sayin'. Tim smiles at Ace, who flops down on the ground in hopes of getting some belly rubs. Tim happily obliges him, lightly scratching and petting Ace's tummy.

"Ace was great company while the two of you were out camping. I actually taught him a new trick. You're such a smart doggie, aren't you Ace? Yeah, buddy. You are." Sounds so proud of his doggie.

[secondchances]

Steph pretends to fall asleep, complete with exaggerated snoring.

[hellofist]

Ugh, that snoring is right in Cass' face too. She covers Steph's mouth to muffle the sound and then looks over at Tim, curious and wanting to take the bait but knowing that's the plan and not wanting to give in.

But she wants to know the trick! Damn you and your tricky, tricky plans, Tim Drake.

"What trick?"

[dorkwonder]

"One sec." Tim gets up from the ground and disappears inside of the kitchen. When he returns, he has a bone shaped biscuit in his hand. Ace perks up, scrambling up onto his paws.

Tim places the tip of the biscuit on Ace's nose. "Wait..."

Ace stands as still a statue, keeping the biscuit perfectly balanced.

"Okay, enjoy." Ace chucks the snack up into the air and then catches it with his mouth. Omnom.

[secondchances]

Okay, Steph cracks an eye open long enough to see that. It's cute. She'll give him that.

"Mmgwad--"

Cass. Please. Her mouth.

[hellofist]

Steph is lucky, Cass needs both hands so she can applaud Ace and his performance.

"Did you spend... all week, doing that? Teaching that?"

[dorkwonder]

"Mhm." Tim takes out another dog biscuit from his pocket, repeating the trick. Ace seems to enjoy the challenge of balancing the biscuit and the attention he's getting for performing the trick.

"Well, not all week, but I taught him it whenever we'd return from jogging."

[secondchances]

"I'm sure," Steph smiles, reaching over to pet Ace. "And I'm sure you guys went jogging a lot, huh?"

She knows how Timmy gets.

"Maybe we should go on trips more often, Cass. Ace will learn all sorts of neat tricks."

[hellofist]

"He would anyway." She's got your back, Ace. "Maybe next time, can... have beach vacation. Just us, swimsuits, suntan lotion..."

[dorkwonder]

Tim's not trying to sound too eager at the idea of such an amazing vacation...

"That would be nice. I'd like for the three of us to take a trip together. We haven't had a chance to yet." Ezio or someone else always seems to be lurking in the background of their vacation plans.
