Delayed exploration
Who: The Master, Open
What: Exploring the castle properly
When: A day or so after being released from the Valentine's Day event
Where: Starting with the kitchen
Rating: G-PG
The Master knew the importance of being familiar with his surroundings. Normally, he would do extensive research on any planet that he intended to visit. Before landing, he would know where the safest shelters were, who was currently in power, who was seeking to take power, and who could be either bribed or coerced most easily. The Master always made sure to place his TARDIS somewhere that he could get to easily, for a quick escape.
Now, however, his TARDIS was completely out of reach and the Doctor himself had assured the Master that escape was impossible. No one seemed to be in power and few people seemed willing to change that fact. Bribery and coercion were still useful tools, should he need them, but only once he got to know the residents better. Likewise, his knowledge of the Castle, outside his bedroom, was almost nil! Other than lacking his TARDIS, this lack was the most unacceptable situation and, fortunately, the easiest to fix.
On his arrival, the Master had been told more than once that the kitchen was on the first floor. That seemed a reasonable place to begin his explorations. The Master wasn't particularly hungry, but decided he might as well examine things closely. This was a Castle with deep secrets and the Master intended to dig them out, one by one.

Abusing the microwave. Again.
After the capture and subsequent departure of that creature Riful and most of her little gang, Hank had gone back to doing what he'd done long enough in his opinion: waiting it out and hoping that each day in Paradisa was his last.
Really, it was a testament to his patience that he hadn't flipped out and slaughtered every person he came across yet. Instead, he'd decided to screw around with the kitchen appliances using his technopathic powers. Childish, but entertaining in it's own way nonetheless.
Right now, said microwave was walking around - on legs it seems to have grown right out of itself - making a general mess of things.

"That gives portable microwave new meaning. Though, it's not very coordinated."

"...I thought you sounded familiar. I wasn't expecting to run into you so soon."
He could see why he called himself the Master now. He certainly looked like someone who would call himself that, goatee and all.

Yet, here I am. That was quite an amusing display. You're a man of talent, apparently.
no subject
That? Talent? More like a... parlor trick, I'd say.
no subject
[The Master picks the microwave up, examining it closely. He sees nothing out of the ordinary, simply a device made of plastics and metals.]
How did you come by such a talent?
no subject
As for where I got... basically I was involved had a nasty incident while on a mission to space.

Here's hoping he had a space shuttle on hand, then.

Her voice was soft as she spoke, "Lord Master, I heard you were here."
no subject
"Regrettably, dear Lady, you heard correctly. You have the advantage of me, I'm afraid. Who are you?"
no subject
She doesn't mention her title for now. Others had said they mean little here. Though, where the Master is concerned, it would probably be rather helpful. But she needs to know where in his timeline he's from. She's hoping he's from before the trial with the Daleks, "What was your last encounter with the Doctor before ending up here?"
no subject
"Ah, the Time Lord fresh from the Academy, sent to the Doctor by the High Council," he chuckled. He wondered a bit at her question, but the answer could do no harm. "I last encountered the Doctor on the Cheetah planet, during his seventh incarnation's time. Are you still travelling with the Doctor?"
no subject
She's not the young naive Time Lord the Doctor once knew. Not only did her time in E-Space teach her that, but being Madame President carried its own form of education.

As the Master walks into the kitchen, the dog looks at him and wags his tail hopefully. Maybe the new person won't be as much of a tightass when it comes to feeding table scraps to adorable puppies?
no subject
"Good morning, young lady."
He had no scraps, sadly. In fact, he wasn't completely recovered from the Cheetah virus, so the sight of the dog made him a bit wary.
no subject
"Morning."
And she automatically holds onto the dog's collar, in case the overly friendly creature decides to lick the guy.
"Don't think I've seen you around before."

"I'm Natsuki. This brat here is Blitz, short for Blitzen."
He gives a happy bark at the sound of his name.
"You're calm enough. Did somebody explain this place to you already?"
