HALLOWEEN BALL

By now, all residents should have received their invitations. Even those whose were lost in transit have had an invitation brought to them personally by one of the "lively" ghosts of the castle. Formal attire or a costume is required!

The ballroom itself is decorated for the occasion. Fog coats the floor, which has an eerie spiral design on it. Above, the ceiling seems much higher than normal, allowing for bats to fly about and webs to hang down, wafting in a slight draft that brings a slight chill to anyone in the room. The ceiling gives way to a glass window just above, which allows all those in attendance to view the vibrant lightning storm that is going on outside.

Although the room itself seems dark and spoopy, the music remains fairly upbeat, if not a bit eerie itself.

The ghosts at the door are happy to invite you in. You need only present yourself and your invitation. Have fun!

[Felix doesn't care very much for appearances. He's a passable dancer, at least according to his own world's standards, and being conspicuous on the dance floor was nothing at all to the embarrassment of being a madman yet again.

Normally he would have sought out Ashura, but the time when he could do that was long since past. Instead his eye turns towards the crowd, and any other likely partners for a round. He won't discriminate, though he certainly has preferences, especially for those he might already be acquainted with.]

[Crowley has been enjoying wandering around the party, drinking, talking, waiting for the castle to lock them in or somesuch. Felix is a welcome sight, and the demon wanders over with a sly smirk]

Please tell me you're not being a wallflower.

[He gives Crowley a slight sideways smirk, his eyes still idly watching the dancers]

I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds dreadfully weary.

Oh, it is. It's for the poor people who just stand at the side and do nothing at a party than become decoration.

[He grins]

Well, admittedly, I do make excellent decoration.

[He'll raise his wine glass in appreciation]

[He gives the demon his best preening grin]

[He glanced back at the dancefloor and turned more fully to face Crowley]

[Crowley flashes him a sharp-toothed grin]

I came over for the conversation and the eye candy, mostly.

[Felix hummed thoughtfully, though he spared an appreciating glance over Crowley and his outfit before continuing forward]

Do you still not dance?

What I do could not be considered dancing by even the most hopeful stretch of the imagination. So no, I still prefer to keep my dignity in tact.

Certainly, but it makes no difference. My brain isn't wired that way, you could say.

Is that one of the ways they try to prevent you from having fun?

Quite possibly. Hell isn't exactly known for that kind of fun.

Or any kind of fun that doesn't really require airquotes.

[A soft laugh] I've been to worse parties. And a minimum of excitement around here can be a boon.

But I do see your point.

It does make a change, but I expect a little drama to liven up proceedings.

I would provide, but I'm afraid my plate is full enough of that already.

Ah well. Perhaps someone will have a dramatic fight for us.

Well, I'll be close by if you find any. I don't intend to wander far.

[He glances back at the dancers, hesitates briefly before adding...] He asked me to save him a dance. [certain former lovers that remain nameless because he knows Crowley will know who he means]

[Crowley blinks behind his shades, his gaze falling to the dance floor] Ah. There's an interesting development.

Yes, I thought so too. Not that I object to not be hated, but...
