What: Carolina is a chihuahua and wandering around the Castle.

Where: Pretty much anywhere she can get into (intro's set up for a random stairwell).

[To say Carolina had been having a physically challenging week would be an understatement. Between trying to get up and down stairs, just to start with, important things were now more often than not, too far out of her reach. Her current problem, though, was once again the stairs. She'd learned how to balance going down them without tumbling, but getting up them had proven a far more trying task. As she currently stood, she was perched on one step, taking a brief break after already climbing several flights.

It's not that she had a particular destination in mind, but needed to be out and about considering that both of the Doctors had left the Castle. There were still things that needed to be done, even in her current form.]

[Okay, Carolina is definitely cool with this. Being up closer to her usual height is much better than the one-foot-something that she's been seeing for the past few days. Outsideoutsideoutsideoutside. Once outside, she immediately jumps down and... lands right in a snowbank completely disappearing from view for a couple seconds before she pops her head up.

By the way she totally planned that.]

[OH SHIT HE DROPPED BOSS-- Yeah, he has a miniature heart attack until she pops up again, and he gives an over-dramatic sigh.]

[And then Ripley dives at the snowbank with something very different in mind, and Maine's having another heart attack and grasping for her collar.]

[Carolina turns just to see Ripley diving for the snowbank and instead of backing off in the slightest, she launches right into a barking frenzy, complete with paw swipes if need be.]

[Maine's expecting to have to drag a limp little body from Ripley's jaw, but instead, there's a surprised Yelp as she gets a swipe right across her nose. That short pause is long enough for Maine to grab a hold of her collar again and brace as she goes back to lunging.]

[Carolina keeps right on barking, but doesn't pursue when Maine grabs her collar. Just 'cause she's tiny doesn't mean she's any less fierce, man.]

[Maine hauls Ripley back and makes her lie down. Yeah, he's sure Carolina's one bitchass tiger of an anklebiter, but she's still his Boss and he'll still look out for her.]

[When Ripley's laying down, Carolina finally stops barking, glancing up at Maine before back at Ripley. Well, she's still going to enjoy the snow even if she's just sitting in it.]

[Ripley's still watching Carolina, but eventually settles her head on her paws with a dissatisfied whuff. Maine looks rather pleased.]

[Carolina glances between the two of them before heading out a couple feet to play in the snow investigate something very important. Maybe it's some kind of dead animal, she's not sure but she's digging for whatever it might be, giving zero fucks about just how cold the snow is under her paws.]

[Maine goes over to see what Chiuahlina's so interested in, and after a moment Ripley gets up to join them and possibly steal whatever has Carolina's attention]

[Carolina eventually uncovers a dead squirrel-ish thing, mentally pretty repulsed at the idea of shoving her nose down in it, but the dog instinct has her pulling it out from under any remaining snow with her teeth. Dropping it on top of the snowbank beside her, she wags her tail eagerly. ]

[She's got a dead thing. He can't help but snort. She's got a dead thing and she's so fucking pleased.]

[Ripley wants the dead thing, so screw staying put, she's lunging at it.]

[Carolina barks once up at Maine, wagging her tail all up until Ripley makes a lunge for it. She doesn't hesitate in taking as many steps as needed toward the much larger dog, swatting fiercely. Hey! She found this dead thing!]

[Maine immediately moves to grab Ripley, but decides to hesitate long enough to see what she'll do up against Carolina. There if she needs him, holding back in case she doesn't. Ripley shoves her head over the dead thing and growls at Carolina, trying to push dominance over it.]

[Carolina takes no steps back, barking loudly at Ripley and taking another swat at the much larger dog. If she has to, she'll get out the teeth, but she really hopes she doesn't.]

[Ripley, at this point, is familiar with Carolina's plan of attack, and merely blinks at the swipes. Yeah it hurts but hey Dead Thing. Dead Thing she wanted.]

[Maine's slowly reaching for Ripley's collar, because he doesn't like the sound she's giving Carolina. It sounds like the doggie version of FUCK YOU FUCK YOUR MOTHER]

[Carolina barks over at Maine, seeing him move; she's not at all intimidated by Ripley's size or growl, instead growling back and moving to re-claim Her Dead Thing.]

[Maine stops and drops his hand with a sigh. Yeah, okay, so you want to take on the big huge (what Maine can only assume is a--) killing machine. Be his guest. He's still standing by just in case.]

[Ripley lunges forward to try and bolster her intimidation levels, snapping aggressively and trying to shove herself over the Dead Thing.]

[Carolina doesn't back away, even with that lunge forward, going right back to barking as she gives Ripley another swipe or two. She wants Her Dead Thing, she found it. She even escalates a bit to a couple quick snaps of her mouth, not close enough to bite, but sending a clear enough message.]

[Ripley holds out a little longer, but with those quick snaps she seems to think that it's too much trouble for such a measly rotting strip of something. She finally turns away and grunts as if she's bored.]

[Maine chuckles and gives Carolina a thumbs up.]

[If dogs could smile, Carolina would be grinning right about now. With Her Dead Thing re-claimed, she takes it up in her mouth again, dragging it by the foot toward Maine. Look! Look at Her Dead Thing!

She doesn't quite consider just how gross it probably looks.]

[Ripley settles herself next to Maine and ust watches. She doesn't know why you're so proud, it's just a worthless piece of Dead Thing she is so jealous right now]

Good girl. [Maine squats down and pats her head, trying not to do it too roughly. She is small enough for him to break without too much thought.] Wish I had a camera.

[Because how often does he get a chance to get a hold of possible black mail pictures of his Boss??]

[Carolina plops the death thing on his foot before laying across it for reasons she can't even fathom. She's never wanted praise before in her life but she really wants to show off Her Dead Thing. She barks up at him, meant to be a warning about any kind of pictures, but it's kind of ruined by Her Dead Thing sitting on his foot.]

[Maine's not really one to be squeamish, but there is a dead thing on his shoe and he can't even really identify it. Squirrel? Rabbit? Strange alien creature? He's not sure.]

[Then she goes and lays on it and he can't help laughing a little. Oh Carolina, he is not going to let you live this down. He pats her head again, and then (with a modicum of wincing), slides his hand underneath her and lifts her back up to his chest, nudging the Dead Thing off of his shoe.]

You need a bath.

[Hey! No! That's Her Dead Thing! She fought for that! She squirms around in his hand, trying to get back to it and ignoring the fact that yes she definitely needs a bath.]
