Where: Pretty much anywhere she can get into (intro's set up for a random stairwell).

[To say Carolina had been having a physically challenging week would be an understatement. Between trying to get up and down stairs, just to start with, important things were now more often than not, too far out of her reach. Her current problem, though, was once again the stairs. She'd learned how to balance going down them without tumbling, but getting up them had proven a far more trying task. As she currently stood, she was perched on one step, taking a brief break after already climbing several flights.

It's not that she had a particular destination in mind, but needed to be out and about considering that both of the Doctors had left the Castle. There were still things that needed to be done, even in her current form.]

A small, blue, crocodile-type thing comes across the dog.]

Totodile?

[Carolina's ears perk up at the sound of something else, cocking her head to the side at the sight of the small creature. She'd never really seen something like that before but the Castle almost always seemed to have extra surprises up its sleeve.

She barks a couple times at Carsondile, unaware of who it could be.]

[The Totodile seems to be dragging a journal along with him.]

Toto? Dile. Totodile.

[He's sorta given up on getting people to understand him. Maybe the dog will?]

[Oh hey the journal's a pretty sure sign that it's a castle resident, as she'd been doing the same just a few days before. She gives a a sharp bob of her head in a nod, raising one paw to point to the journal.]

[He shows Carolina his journal. Which obviously has the name "Carson Beckett" on it.]

[Carolina examines the name before nodding and barking again.]

-1800 : The Danger Room (York, closed)

[Well this pup is downright exhausted by this point in the day. For all her training, Carolina still wasn't prepared for the furious workout that was being a one-foot-nothing (if that even), so she's on the verge of passing out where she's sprawled on the floor, giving so few fucks about the fact that she just plopped down in the most undignified manner.]

[...Why are you so tiny, Boss? York sees that panting and returns in a little bit with a shallow bowl full of fresh water. He'll set it down next to her and sit down on the floor so he can scratch her ears.]

Long day, huh?

[Oh scratching her ears is so much nicer than she wants it to be. Honestly, she doesn't want to be treated like a dog, but that feels so damn nice and she's exhausted. One of her back legs rises up to kick at the air, as if it's the one doing the scratching, and she barks once. Yes, yes it's been an extremely long and exhausting day. And the Doctors left. And everything is a mess again.]

[S-so cute, York almost can't handle it. He's grinning like a madman under his helmet as he gives her a few maore scratches, then smooths the fur our again.]

Wonder if it seems longer to you. I mean, they say one human year is seven dog years, you know.

Hungry? I got some more of that gourmet stuff that looks like actual food but won't mess up your digestive system.

[Oh she doesn't like him stopping scratching one bit. She rolls over slightly to expose her belly before she's even realizing what she's doing. So, she'll just pretend she was rolling completely over. Totally all a part of the plan. Food does sound pretty amazing right now, that and more ear scratching. Probably ear scratching first, then food. Priorities, man.]

[YEAH that gets a laugh. Totally subtle there, girl. Well, he'll start scratching those ears again anyway.]

All right, all right, scratchies first. Nobody tried to step on you today, I hope.

[Carolina goes back to the air-kicking thing, doing her best to listen to York despite the heaven that is ear-scratching. She gives a slight shake of her head, which is a bit difficult with the current scratching of her ears. The day itself was just physically trying on top of her usual stress. Stairs have never been so daunting.]

[Sup Carolina, it's been awhile. Granted, Ted has no clue its you when he's coming up the stairwell and sees an exhausted little dog. He can't help but grin, because even if the logical part of his mind is telling him it's probably someone on a loss... aww, doggy.]

Hey there. Having trouble getting up?

[Carolina glances up at Ted with a slightly confused tilt of her head. No, she's not having any trouble, she's just taking a break, okay. She barks twice, getting up to her feet. See, she's... maybe a few inches taller than the stair.]

[Ted looks upwards.]

How far are you going up?

[Carolina barks three times, but she's planning on going up three flights on her own four feet, no matter how tiring it might be.]

Three flights? [Ouch.] You want a little help, guy?

[Carolina gives a rough shake of her head, shifting so she can stubbornly go back to trying to get up the next stair. It's a combination of jumping and trying to build momentum to get up the next one which takes so much more energy than she expected.]

[Waiting for her at the top of the stairs is Ripley, Maine's Akita mix, standing her ground and growling lowly at the little fluff thing that smells like that woman. Maine himself is somewhere further up, because what are leash laws?]

[Oh Carolina is not about to be intimidated by a much larger dog. She travels up those last couple stairs, fueled by adrenaline and begins barking aggressively, more than willing to challenge Ripley if need be despite the obvious advantage the other dog has.]

[Ripley stops a moment, if only because surprise! The little thing isn't immediatepy backing down. She postures, hackles rising, and pulls her lips vack to growl deeper and more threatening. Hey there, Little Snack, why so snarky?]

[Maine finally meets up with them, hearing Carolina's barks. He reaches out to Ripley's collar to hold her back.]

Easy, gitl.

[Carolina continues barking, still not backing down from Ripley and baring her own much tinier set of teeth. Maine's approach doesn't stop her either, instead providing back-up if she should need it. She gives a brief, tiny nod to her teammate before going back to barking at Ripley.]

[Now Maine has to pause, because -- did that dog just nod at him? He tugs Ripley away and gets her to sit a few steps up and away, before kneeling to peer at the little chiuahuah.]

Hey? [Do I know you?]

[Carolina tilts her head to the side at Maine's forcing Ripley away. Well. She's not done with you, yet! Turning her attention back to Maine, Carolina nods again before lifting a paw and trying to tap out her name in Morse code. It's a little more difficult when she essentially has to use her whole body to do so.]
