[In the lobby tonight, there is a small girl who looks like she belongs in a castle this grand. Her blue dress matches the decoration style better than most residents' clothing, her long skirts and stay intricate and befitting a higher class daughter.

This girl, however, looks extremely confused, cautiously wandering through the grand entrance and seeming for all the world like she has no idea what's going on.

Because she doesn't.

Last she recalls, she was on a ship, heading home, and this place is like nowhere on The Jackdaw at all, not that she's seen.

She takes a cursory pass around the lobby, then takes a seat on a sofa and clutches her doll to her chest.]

It'll be all right, Dolly. Father is with us now, this must just be part of the adventure.

[Oh, okay. He thinks he knows what happened, now.]

I don't think he brought you here. He would've took you with him or woken you up, right?

[toyboat]

Of course he did, he wouldn't abandon me! He said so!

[samson]

[Whoa! He holds his hands up.]

Look, I didn't say that. I mean he's probably lost too. [Because telling a kid she got magic kidnapped is probably not a very sympathetic move.]

[toyboat]

Why would he be lost elsewhere? That doesn't make any sense.

[samson]

Why not? You think grown-ups can't get lost too?

[toyboat]

Of course they can, but he would be lost with me, not lost elsewhere.

[samson]

What if I told you that this place is magic? You think someplace magic could separate people like that?

[toyboat]

Well, that just seems silly.

[samson]

Nah. [He holds his hand out, palm up, indicating she ought to do the same.]

Say you wish for an apple.

[toyboat]

[Jenny does this, then says exactly what he tells her to.]

You wish for an apple.

[samson]

[Pffff] It won't be as cool if I do it.

[toyboat]

[She stares at him with several shades of irritation.]

That's what you told me to say, I said it!

[samson]

Look, don't get smart. I'm trying to show you how magic works here -- if you wish for something, it'll appear.

[toyboat]

Then why did you tell me to say you wish for an apple?

[samson]

I meant, "say that you wish." [Jesus god, are kids usually this pedantic... he's forgotten...]

[toyboat]

Why don't you just say what you mean!

[samson]

I did. That's what I meant.

[toyboat]

[Huff!]

You're terribly frustrating.

[samson]

[WOW... HE'S FRUSTRATING, HUH...

Brock just pinches the bridge of his nose.]

Just... wish for an apple.

[toyboat]

I don't want an apple.

[samson]

Then whatever you want. Just say "I wish for..."

[toyboat]

[She huffs at him again for a moment.]

I wish for... a syllabub.

[samson]

[Brock's about to tell her to quit making up words!! God!!!!! But then a little dish with an orange concoction and a tiny little spoon appears on the floor.]

I told you.

[toyboat]

You eat it.

[samson]

I don't even know what it is.
