Super Duper Borgia Party
Who: OPEN TO ALL
What: Lucrezia's Birthday Party
When: 18th April - Nighttime
Where: The Grand Hall
Rating: It's a party thrown by a pony for a Borgia, I don't think such a rating exists.
[Cheese had made Lucrezia a promise, and by Cheddar, he was going to follow through on it. Of course, as experienced a party planner he was, he'd never worked his craft in a magical castle before. Still, he had his pride as the best of the best (bar one) on the line, and he wasn't about to quit over schematics.
He'd waited until he was sure the Discord-esque spiral nonesense was over and done with, then carefully sent invitations to the entire castle. He wasn't sure who Lucrezia's friends were, so he figured if he sent an invite to everyone, they'd choose to come of their own accord. The people living outside of the castle were another matter, a hastily left journal message would have to suffice. The invite was surprisingly elegant, for someone who could only draw with his mouth, giving the time and place, and reminding them they should probably at least try to bring a gift. Don't be a jerk, now.]

The fact we forget, I think, shows how long we have actually been here. Things just are, and so we forget to think of them, sometimes.
[ He took another sip of his wine, glad to be talking with his friend again. ]
I hope the latest events were not to cruel to you, grandmother.
[ Far enough off to be somewhat private, he felt confident enough to use the small endearment born of a gentler event, his eyes sparkling with a bit of mischief. ]

No, they were not; I was fortunate enough to be spared the brunt of it. And you?

Much the same. They made me very uncomfortable, and - I am ashamed to admit - nearly drove me made with fright and disgust. But I like to believe that is more Castle influence than anything else.
I am glad enough for it to be done and for us to move into the spring in full. I can finally put away my winter robes!
[ He beamed, clearly excited. He disliked Winter immensely, and he made no secret of it. ]
Do you think we shall have another of those spring celebrations, like last year?

I have no notion. You should discuss the matter with Queen Anne. As I recall the chief of the festivities were her doing.

Oh yes, she did put it on last year, didn't she? Well, she shall have my gratitude if she does so again. I quite enjoyed it last year, didn't you? Not the way my people celebrate Spring, but pleasurable nonetheless.

A festival, centered around the fire-flowers. It signifies renewal, for my people, and they are a sign of hope born from our origin tales. It usually lasts a week, and we have music and food and bright colors. We host plays and there is always a spike in marriages during that week.

Once, I did, when I first came. It has crossed my mind a few times since then, but I never put it through to action. But perhaps later this year, since you show interest, I might throw a small festival - one at night, so we can see the flowers glow.

Very true. As always, wise advice, Galadriel. It has been a long time since I planned any sort of celebration, so this shall be a good time to see how rusty I am.
