She wouldn't normally care, but with the castle shifting to resemble anything remotely like her world, Meg was on edge. When she found April - or what was left of her - decorating the castle halls, that concern switched to full blown alert mode. The demon spent the night and half the morning poking around the castle, looking for whatever had done it on her own to no avail. By noon, she had circled back around to the lobby and stood there glaring at the pile of weapons, wondering what the hell the catch was.

Finally, she cracked open her journal. By now, more people surely would have seen the carnage.

"All right," she sighed heavily. "Anyone wants to go out and find what did it, meet me in the lobby."

[She didn't see it coming, and feels the jerk and strain between he muscles and bones before she wheels into the movement and lets the pack get taken. It's been a while since she's been on active duty like this; so many years spent undercover, or on a ship deck effecting tactic and strategy from a seat.]

[She whips around and freezes, pistol raised, and watches for any hint of movement.]

[Claiming the pack for its own easily enough, the Wendigo waits a moment then makes another circle, letting a twig snap or a leaf rustle here and there. It's too fast to see and silent when it wants to be, and it closes in gradually, drawing her attention here and there.

Then suddenly, it's right behind her. Silent, waiting... then it lunges.]
