[ Had it been anyone else but her mother explaining where they were and what to expect here, Arya would not have believed them. The concept was hard to understand much less swallow. But if there is someone in the world she still trusts wholeheartedly it is her mother. She would not lie to Arya. Not about something like this.

Thus after she found a moment to wander away from Catelyn, she decided to explore the castle, Needle at her side. If she was to be here for a while, she needs to know what can be found. She had always enjoyed discovering new places, talking to new people. Maybe a day to tire herself out was all she needed to sleep through the night again. ]

[ Her concern lies closer to it being stolen than broken. After consideration, she sets it delicately in his hand. ]

It won't hack a man's head off [ she repeats what Jon had told her when he gave it to her, ] but it'll poke him full of holes.

[yeah because he seriously needs another weapon, he only has 23432 of them. But he'll test the weight and balance. It's extremely light, but well crafted. Perfect for someone her size]

[After taking a couple practice moves while still sitting, he hands it back to her]

[an amused noise as he crosses his arms. So that explains that. She's not approaching every dude with a sword...almost]

I already know the basics. I'm good. I take my lessons seriously. I practise every day. All day if I can. But I need a teacher so I can get better.

[He has a slight twist of the smirk at the corner of his mouth, before he goes back to his book]

I've seen you two mornings in a row in the gardens. I'm not asking you to sacrifice your spare time. We can spar then, you tell me what to practise and we pick it up the next morning.
