There's an anticipatory air that morning. The last day. There isn't much else to be done but put all this work and planning together towards a final product, one that could possibly benefit the residents for months if not years to come. If it worked, of course.

"Hm?" He paused and looked down, then back to Aradia, "Oh. Not much of anything. It's all Cymellunar writing," He smiles and points at a few of the sections of script, "That's the word for protection. That's stone. That's fire. They're mostly a focus for the spell, so I can direct it to the right course, in a sense."

Aradia nodded again. It was all very interesting, but she wasn't really a magic person. "Okay. I will pretend I know what that means."

Felix smiled, automatically veering into his instructive tone.

"Think of magic like water and symbolism like a carved channel in stone. Thing like this," he gestures again to the circle, "or anything other casters use, is what helps us to allow the magic to flow and assume the shape we desire. In a broad sense, of course."

"Can it overflow the channel?"

"It depends on the working, but generally no. It would take multiple casters for that kind of result. It's far more likely to have the channel reverse and flow back into you when working on your own."

Aradia frowned. "That sounds uncomfortable." (Understatement of the century, y/n?)
