Faith has been in the castle long enough to know that the holidays that are meant to be focused on couples are the castle's favorite. It turns the dial to eleven on most of those events and lets the people living there flail in the wind. Usually, Faith avoids it. She sticks in the city, avoids most people around her, and doesn't even consider taking a look in her room at the castle. Why would she? She doesn't need involuntary action from people she barely knows courtesy of the castle.

She can do well-enough all on her own.

This Valentine's Day, however, Faith is bored. Truthfully, she's been bored since after Christmas. Maybe it was the tension between her and Buffy or just the fact that she didn't have much to do here. That's why Faith decided to go to the castle today. It's a code red day, if she's honest, but when she gets to the castle she just has to laugh.

The balloons are obnoxious, but that doesn't stop her from taking one and holding onto it for a while as she wanders. She'll take the helium if she feels like it.

Now though, she's looking for whatever the trigger might be and she's planning on going for it.
