[It's been a pretty average day at the Lux. No magical time travel, no out of place guests, just a few people who wanted a beer and a decent meal. Nothing out of the usual one way or the other.

Max notices Spike at the end of the bar, and starts to head down in his direction.]

[She's speaking to a man who has never had a real job... excluding that weird week at the candy store. But he's still trying not to look clueless in front of her.]

[Max doesn't understand these people who have never had jobs. They clearly don't know the value of a good cover.

And until he comes back, she'll be wiping down the bar.]

[He's completely lost on how to clock in, but she's insisting, so he basically walks from one end of the store (lingering just long enough to make it seem feasible that he knows what he's doing) and back to her and sits back down to his forgotten plate. It's all about showing confidence.

Hopefully she won't notice if he went in the wrong direction, because he's so charming and all.]

Already that time? [What do you mean, people clean up more than once a day?]

Plus, given Jo's former profession, she's not too big on letting the ghosts do her dirty work.

[He makes an amused noise, then seems to get lost in watching her. It makes him forget himself for a minute.

When he comes back to the present, he's not entirely on topic.]
