[Nightmares are never fun, no matter where you go. But things take a bit of a turn for the worse when you've jumped into the mind of a ninja. A ninja that can look into other people's heads, to be exact.

Ino! Oh my God!!!

[Don't be sick again don't be sick again, keep it together Jane! She's groping for her skirt and trying to rip the hem off. That's what they do for bandages in Jake's movies, right? Rip up clothes?]

What happened?!

[ino]

[You're gonna need a whole lot of hem to bandage up that gaping hole in her side, Jane. She just coughs a little, blood dripping from her mouth]

Don't bother. [She'll pause] The enemy ...

[cyan_maid]

[Oh fuck it, this thing isn't tearing. She's going to press some of it into your side.] Whoever did this is long gone by now, just - hold on, alright?

[She looks around. Isn't there anyone else around who could help??]

[ino]

[Not a soul, Jane. Anyone else around that's still alive is in no shape to be helping anyone but themselves]

Jane ... stop. [She closes her eyes, squeezing them, trying to keep the tears in] Just listen. You can't -- you can't go back there ...

[cyan_maid]

Go back where?! [She presses harder.] I'm not leaving you here like this! If anything, I'd be taking you with me...

[ino]

To the castle. You'll be -- [she cuts off, coughing harder now]

[How would they even go back? Jane doesn't know. Her hand shakes as she presses as hard as she can. If only there was something she could do...]

T-Try not to strain yourself, please!!

[ino]

[it takes her a moment to regain what strength she has left to finish her sentence]

It's not safe there.

[cyan_maid]

Oh, it was never safe in that damn place!

[Pulling out the swear words, eh? Someone's reached the end of her fraying sanity.]

I'll take you somewhere else, then - somewhere with people who can help you! I just...

[ino]

It's too late. [Her eyes flutter closed ...] Take care of everyone, Jane ...

[cyan_maid]

[She grabs Ino's shoulders.] Ino, don't talk like that...come on, now! It's never too late, you'll be fine, I just have to...

[Have to what, kiddo? You can't do a darn thing. You probably couldn't take care of everyone even if your life depended on it...and here come the tears.]

[ino]

I'm sorry.

[and that's all you'll get from her, before she goes limp. the dream goes fuzzy and black moments later -- at least you don't have to live through that any longer, jane]
