[Nightmares are never fun, no matter where you go. But things take a bit of a turn for the worse when you've jumped into the mind of a ninja. A ninja that can look into other people's heads, to be exact.

So which path will you pick?]

[ino]

[The backdrop for this part is familiar -- the castle, in all its usual glory. There's something strange about the castle today, though ... something eerie, almost. Perhaps it's the fact that it's so quiet, today. Maybe the fact that none of the ghosts seem to be trudging through the halls.

Or maybe it's the sudden knowledge that there is no one else left here but you.]

[He's not sure how he should feel about that.

The more noble part of his heart insists he should be happy for those who left. They got to go home-- finally. There were relationships that had been broken, but... maybe it was for the best.

On the other hand? There was literally no one around. He can recall, almost like some far off memory, talking to John. He'd commented on, knowing his luck, he'd be one of the ones stuck in the castle for years to come.

He hadn't thought his luck sucked this much.

Oh well. At least he has his journal, and he can listen to the voices in the book and almost pretend that they're still here.]

[ino]

[Poor Tsuna. Maybe it was bad luck, maybe it was the castle deciding you were the only one it wanted after all ... whatever the case, it definitely feels desolate.

But this dream is not without hope. Maybe that last whisper was from the journal ... but oddly, it sort of sounded like it could have been from around the corner and down the hall, too. Maybe you should go investigate?]

[He can't help that his heart skips a beat a little at that whisper. No matter how valiant he tries to be, he can't help but feel that loneliness clawing at his mind, desperate for there to be someone, anyone. He sucks his breath in, closes the journal, and listens, taking a hesitant step closer to that corner.]

[Yes, that sound is definitely getting a little louder. Louder and clearer, the closer he gets. There's a laugh, even, from the mysterious somebody beyond view.]

[Alright, he'll be turning that corner and heading down the hall. And he's definitely going at a reasonable pace and not sort of speed walking and excited to see who it might be nope.]

[Hope you weren't too excited, Tsuna, because as soon as you round that corner, the laughter stops, and there is nobody there.

Were you just imagining it ... ?]

[Being alone isn't a new concept to the Once-ler. After all 'alone' is his most common state of existence, and he has a lot more of it ahead of him. Still, he didn't expect to be alone in the castle of all places.

With a frown, he continues walking along the halls, he's not even looking for anyone in particular. But it's better than sitting still]

[ino]

[It's only after a good long while of walking the silent halls and listening to the sound of your own footsteps that anything begins to change. There's a flutter of fabric escaping behind a nearby corner, and a faint laugh, like there's someone playing a game with him. Will you give chase?]

[The Once-ler turns at the sound. He really should leave it alone. Nothing making spooky giggling sounds would be even remotely safe.

...Still. It's something. Or someone. He heads towards the sound]

Hello?

[ino]

[The mysterious person, whoever they are, only giggles more gleefully when he starts to follow. But the further he goes, the harder it is to tell where it's coming from -- the sound begins to echo louder and louder, as though it's coming from behind every door in the hall]

[The Once-ler pauses as he gets back into the lobby, turning his head this way and that. Eventually, he opts to fold his arms, for lack of something better to do]

Okay, Spooky Giggles. Are you gonna show yourself or are you just going to be a bad punchline in a ghost story for the rest of the day? Because that last option? Not cool.

[ino]

[Well, fine then, Once-ler. If you're not going to play, then spooky voice is going to find something else to do! The hall goes silent for a few moments, until a few quiet sniffs can be heard from the kitchenl. It sounds a lot more legitimate than the giggling ... maybe you should investigate?]

[wilder]

[Wow...he's never heard this place so quiet. In fact, it's completely disturbing]

Hello? Anyone out there?

[ino]

[His voice echoes -- a little too much for it to be realistic, really -- down the hall. All of the plates next to the rooms in sight are empty.

Nope, there doesn't appear to be anyone here. What to do?]

[wilder]

...Seriously? No one's here?

[He'll start walking around, seeing if he can pick up ANY noise of habitation]

[ino]

[It is virtually silent for a few minutes, before he can hear a voice a few floors up. One -- no, two voices. They seem to be having a conversation. Will you investigate?]

[wilder]

[yes he will! At least try to move up the floors via stairs to see if he can hear more]

[ino]

[The further up he goes, the clearer it gets. One voice is definitely Ino, and she doesn't sound pleased. The other is still a little unclear, though ...]

[... Wow. It sure is soul-crushingly silent in here. At first she doesn't believe it - goes down the halls checking doors and stuff. But it really seems her first impression was right, and nobody else is here...

But then, where are they?]

[ino]

[For now, the halls remain empty. The longer she explores, the darker it seems to get, making it harder and harder to see where she's going ...

But there seems to be some sort of light at the end of the hall. Investigate?]

[Geez, even with her night vision racial trait, huh? Well, she'll go ahead and investigate that light, at any rate, running one hand along the wall for guidance.]

[ino]

[Even with that! It's the castle, man, it can make the halls too dark for you if it wants!!11

But as soon as she gets close, the light will disappear around the corner, and a soft laugh can be heard echoing through the halls ... maybe it wants you to chase it?]

Hey!

[Laugh at Aradia Megido, will you, mysterious ghost light? ... Yeah okay she'll play tag with you. Not like there's much else to do, anyway.]

[Yes, good. The light will float on down the hall with another cackle, footsteps echoing up ahead]
