[Nightmares are never fun, no matter where you go. But things take a bit of a turn for the worse when you've jumped into the mind of a ninja. A ninja that can look into other people's heads, to be exact.

So which path will you pick?]

[She whips her head around when he speaks and just GLARES daggers at him]

Another one?

Hey. Now that's just insulting. There's only one and only great Zelos Wilder.

[There's no response to that, no joke or eyeroll or anything. She just covers her ears and pulls her legs to her chest, squeezing her eyes shut while journal Zelos continues to talk about something. Maybe if she can't see or hear him, he'll disappear.]

[he raises an eyebrow. Sloowwly walking over, he'll poke her in the side of the head]

Piglet?

[She immediately slaps his hand away, hard]

Leave me alone!

- Ow!

Jeez! What's with you?!

What's with me? Everyone keeps fucking coming and going today! Nobody's been here, and now ...

What?

Ino- how long you been here like this?

A long time. What do you care?

[she knows she's being unnecessarily harsh, that it isn't Zelos' fault he's shown up like this. but she is really starting to lose it, here (as if she hadn't lost it already, but ...)]

Because...you're talking to old recordings in the journal?

[she clutches the journal to her chest, looking like he insulted her]

I'm talking to my friends!

You were talking to a recording of me.

Which I guess I can understanding wanting to hear my beautiful voice all the time, but the one and only Zelos Wilder is right here in your presence, my darling.

[she just holds the journal tighter to her, looking at the floor]

They told me they couldn't come here anymore. But we could still talk.

[...The act drops. Concern is starting to come across on his]

Ino...

I'm here now, okay?

[she shakes her head, burying her face in her knees]

Not for long.

So what? You're just gonna ignore me until I go away?

There's no point, anymore ... [she sniffs, reaching up with one hand to rub at her eye]

[That...hurts him probably more than it should, for reasons that Ino knows nothing about. But he bites those feelings back]

But we're friends, aren't we? What more point do you need?

You'll just leave in a few minutes, and I'll be alone again.

[she pauses, picking at the edge of her journal for a moment]

It's easier if I was alone all along.

[if she stays away from him, it'll be easier to pretend she just imagined him]

...Oh.

[So that's how it is.]

[That causes him to shrink away from her. Some part of him tells him that she's just...protecting herself from further pain. That maybe if he was someone stronger, someone braver, he'd keep on insisting things were different. That it's not better to be alone all along and to enjoy any time you can get with people]

[But..he's not. He's not as strong as people seem to think he is, and he's definitely not braver. Words like that reminds him of words used on him too many times and they hurt too much. So..he backs away, like people do from sources of pain]

[Maybe someone else can get through to her. She'd be better off for it, he knows he's crappy company]

...Alright.

[That honestly surprises her, and it makes her look up from the floor and over to him. Everyone else had insisted that they would stay. That it would be okay. But not him.

She wants, so badly, to believe that he could stay, that he might be different than the others. That she won't have to be alone anymore. But the past has proven otherwise, and it's so hard to change that view when everything points towards it being true.

Still, there's something desperate in her expression as she watches him back away, something that pleads for him not to go. But she doesn't know what to say -- and there's no point in trying, anyways, right? -- so she just stays silent, staring wide-eyed at him]

[He meanwhile moves to sit against a wall, looking at the floor. He feels like a coward, for not trying more. For not knowing what to do, he'll even exhale a little- stopping himself short of verbalizing the fact he's stupid since he does knot someone else is nearby and that'd look...well crazy to the crazy person. But still!]

[No point in exploring the rest of the place if everyone else is gone huh? Might as well just wait to vanish like he did with other...whatever these things are. But he's not even gonna try to say he'll stick around- that's what he told Once-ler and hey look what happened. ]

[She's silent for a few moments, switching back and forth between staring at her knees and looking over in his direction. Finally, after some hesitation:]

Zelos?

[You could believe that he was sitting here, brooding and thinking deep thoughts]

[But really what was more likely was he was checking his hair for split ends as he passed the time]

[He looks up when he hears Ino call his name]

Hm? Yes my darling?

[She pauses, wrapping her arms around her legs and pulling them tighter to her chest]

I'm sorry ... I didn't mean to get mad. I didn't mean to yell.
