[Nightmares are never fun, no matter where you go. But things take a bit of a turn for the worse when you've jumped into the mind of a ninja. A ninja that can look into other people's heads, to be exact.

Well, you're always giving me that optimistic stuff about standing up and dealing with your problems and nothing can keep us down yadda yadda. What's to say we can't find a way thought this?.

[she frowns, laying her cheek back on his chest] I was wrong.

[His hand moves to rest on her shoulder]

Are you so sure about that? You could be wrong about this too.

How? Everyone is gone. And all I could do was sit here and watch.

[that just gets an exasperated sigh -- she gives up, man, you are never going to understand.

[He doesn't like it, it has to stop.

He'll offer a smile] See? It'll be fine.

[she doesn't say anything, just leans on him. but it's not much longer before her stomach makes a loud, embarrassing growling noise]

[That makes him look, before giving a soft chuckle]

Hungry?

A little ... [sheepish. it takes a lot of energy to wreck the kitchen in a tantrum, okay]

Want me to see if there's anything I can whip up?

[that causes her to immediately panic -- that requires him to move, doesn't it? -- and her fists grasp the fabric of his shirt and coat tightly]

...Ino? What is it? [His concern is immediate. Just in case something else is happening]

It's okay. I don't need anything. [her stomach protests, but ...]

You've gotta eat something eventually, Ino.

[petulantly:] I don't.

Uh, yeah you do. Unless ninjas suddenly can survive starvation, you'll have to eat eventually. And I know or sure I will. Squishy human remember?

[she pauses, scanning the floor for something she can reach without him having to move ...

finally, she spots a twinkie lying on the floor not too far away and leans over, keeping a hand securely on him, to grab it. and then proceeds to shove it in his mouth]

[Oh gross, Ino, floor twinkie. He makes a muffled attempt at protest, before pulling it out]

Oh thanks, I wanted to choke today. And that doesn't solve your problem.

[He is so not eating this floor twinkie, Ino]

[No, it's got dirt and hair on it and stuff]

I've already told you, I'm not going anywhere. Wild, rabid vultures couldn't drag me away.

[somewhere, real Ino is rolling her eyes at all this. how embarrassing and stupid she's being.

she's quiet for a few moments, taking some deep breaths. it'll be okay, she can do this. he must already think she's completely nuts, but ...]

[Oh good, she agreed, he offers her a reassuring smile]

Okay, so I'm gonna stand up now and see what there is to eat. I promise I won't leave this room.

[she'll move to get ... off his lap, lmfao, so he can move. but she still keeps a hand on his sleeve]
