[When arriving in this dream, you'll find yourself in various parts of Paradisa whether it be the castle or the grounds. And boy, do things sure look different. The town is nothing more but rubble, with the farmlands surrounding it razed and salted. There is no sign of any towns person still being alive. The castle still stands, but it seems to lack the life it once had.]

[As for the residents? Well, they got a worst fate than the townspeople. If you come across most residents, there's a good amount of changes. First noticeable thing is they now have wings (some like fairies while most have typical white bird angel wings). They all seem to have a red crystal embedded on them. But worst of all? They are completely devoid of any personality or free thought. Their eyes seem dead and they only seem to respond to the wishes of the one who caused this]

[If you're lucky, you might come across someone who hasn't succumb to this fate - they seem to have taken to hiding in the forest or the mountains. If not? Well...good luck.]

[OOC: TLDR TIME YAY! A joint dream where essentially Mithos Yggdrasil showed up in paradisa and took things over! Pretty much meaning he destroyed the town and turned every resident into zombie-angels. The Symphonian cast (including Mithos cough) will be all over this, but anyone is free to participate in this dream too! If you wish to do so, we got a number of options if you want to more!

OPTION A - Returning Resident/ just wandered into this room.
You just wandered into this or have no idea what's going on. Try not to get killed by angels.

OPTION B - Survivor.
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, razing the town and claiming himself god. You were among one of the few lucky ones who escaped, who are currently in hiding and either want to find a way to take down Mithos- or find a way out into the Dead Zone where his hand has not reached yet. Maybe you're hiding in the rubble of the city, or the mountains or the forest. Try not to get killed by angels.

OPTION C - Former Angel.
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, razing the town and claiming himself god. But you were unlucky, and were among the residents who got turned into the mindless drones. You remember how you were forced to kill all the townspeople, help in turning fellow residents into mindless drones like you. But you got lucky in the way that someone saved you, put a keycrest (fancy piece of metal) on your crystal so you regained your mind. You're still an angel- you still don't eat, sleep and maybe even your sense of touch is diminished or gone- but at least you have a mind and soul again. Plus the enhanced senses, strength and reflexes are really nice too. Try not to get caught again.

OPTION D - Angel
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, when he razed the town, when he claimed himself God of a now lifeless land. But you were unlucky, and were among the residents who got turned into the mindless drones. You have enhanced senses, strength, reflexes and wings. On the flipside, you don't eat, sleep, feel and talking is optional too (since many angels have no voices). You feel nothing. All you desire to do is follow Mithos and his great plan. Have fun.

[Her expanded senses pick up on his presence easily enough, but she doesn't seem to care overmuch. It's interesting that another half-elf should have held out so long, especially given the limited candidate pool present here, but she doesn't seem to have any emotional reaction.

Mithos would no doubt want him captured alive, though, which is its own problem. Raine reaches for her journal to call for backup and a proper capture unit.]

[ He sees her reaching for her journal and he stretches an arm out suddenly, getting up and stumbling before running to her, with no ill intent. ]

R-Raine... Raine, are you okay?

[ They were useless words, really- considering she was most decidedly not okay- but he found himself babbling them anyway, his short frame shaking in fear at confronting her like this. ]

[She frowns at the interruption, but this might make it easier to capture him. Raine replaces her journal as quickly as she had pulled it out and turns a blank expression on the small one.]

Status normal. Your presence is requested in the castle. Will you come quietly?

[ The blank expression hurts.

He stumbles back- he can't do anything, why did he even bother trying?- and raises his hands up slightly, afraid.

He wanted her company, but at the same time he wanted to run, run so far away. ]

I... I can't. [ he manages, his voice shaking. ]

[She crosses her arms with a faint expression of annoyance.]

I think you'll find you can. I will not hesitate to call in force if it is necessary.

[ He takes a slight breath, trying to calm down. He just had to run. Running wasn't so bad.

He had been doing that constantly ever since this had all happened... so he quickly turned tail, beginning to sprint as quickly as he could. Genis wasn't particularly fast, his little legs pumping slowly- he never was much of an athlete... ]

[Futile. Raine disinterestedly opens her journal again to call for the backup she'd promised and floats along, looking bored, at a set distance to keep an eye on him.]

It is inevitable, you know.

[ He keeps trying nonetheless, trying to pick up the pace. He has other options, but... he doesn't want to fight Raine. Out of all people, she's the one he would never, ever raise a weapon against.

So he keeps running, soon starting to gasp for breath as he does. ]

I... I don't want to hurt you, [ he manages breathlessly as he keeps going- maybe if he darted into the forest, he would be more difficult to find? He starts heading towards there... ]

[It would be laughable to think that someone like him could hurt her--if she could still laugh, anyway. As it is she follows persistently but sedately.]

You would be severely punished if you managed to hurt me.

[ He continues on, trying to swerve around the trees. Her words are really upsetting- it's almost as if she's implying that he still would try. ]

I don't want to! You're- you're my sister!

[That's what he'd implied, wasn't it? Besides, Raine had never been one to shy away from a truth, even if it was painful.

Unfortunately for Genis, between her loss and her lack of emotions, she only seems slightly more interested in him as a target because of that.]

Target identified as Genis Sage. You are high on Lord Yggdrasil's priority list.

[ It wasn't long before he ran out of breath, leaning against a tree, taking deep gasps of air...

But the mention of being high on Mithos' list... what did that mean? Did that mean he wanted to turn him into a lifeless being like the others? His knees trembled. ]

[Sorry, brother. That's exactly what it means. You were Mithos's friend once, remember? In that way that Mithos manipulates people into thinking they're friends.]

Affirmative. You are to be tested for Cruxis Crystal compatibility immediately.

[ Sob. THAT MANIPULATIVE BASTARD.

Genis shakes his head, a little desperately, stumbling to another tree, a bit farther away, feeling like his legs would give out if he tried to run any more. ]

Don't do this...

My orders come directly from Lord Yggdrasil. If you come along quietly, you will not be harmed.

[Harming the subjects was a potentially messy process, after all. It was really better for everyone when they cooperated.]

[ He shakes his head again, stumbling farther... it was a little pitiful, actually.

If this wasn't Raine, he would have fought back by now. He really doesn't want to harm her, even if he knows it would be best for him... ]

I can't go with you.

Yes, you can.

[It's funny how he thinks he has free will in this. Or it would be if she found anything funny anymore. But the longer she can keep him standing here and talking, the sooner her backup will arrive.]

Why wouldn't you?

Because this isn't going to make peace, Raine. No one's going to be happy.

[ he tries to explain, pretty certain that wouldn't work... where was a Key Crest when he needed one?

He knows he can't stay in one place, so he summons as much energy as he can to start sprinting again, intending to get deeper in the forest, swerving around a tree in an attempt to lose her. ]

It is the only peace we will ever know. Happiness is not important, in the face of that.

[Really, we'll all be much more peaceful once we're all lifeless beings. It's logical.

She'll keep pursuing him sedately, though because this is a dream she may very well lose him--and then promptly forget about it.]

[ Hearing those words from her makes him shudder, and he keeps running, running- she may as well lose him, even though he's panting hard, crashing through the trees, so afraid...

And regardless of if he lost her or not, he would eventually collapse against a tree, shoulders shaking, heaving a silent sob. ]

[Fortunately for him, she seems to have been distracted by another target. The backup she called for will get him.

They always do, in the end.]
