[When arriving in this dream, you'll find yourself in various parts of Paradisa whether it be the castle or the grounds. And boy, do things sure look different. The town is nothing more but rubble, with the farmlands surrounding it razed and salted. There is no sign of any towns person still being alive. The castle still stands, but it seems to lack the life it once had.]

[As for the residents? Well, they got a worst fate than the townspeople. If you come across most residents, there's a good amount of changes. First noticeable thing is they now have wings (some like fairies while most have typical white bird angel wings). They all seem to have a red crystal embedded on them. But worst of all? They are completely devoid of any personality or free thought. Their eyes seem dead and they only seem to respond to the wishes of the one who caused this]

[If you're lucky, you might come across someone who hasn't succumb to this fate - they seem to have taken to hiding in the forest or the mountains. If not? Well...good luck.]

[OOC: TLDR TIME YAY! A joint dream where essentially Mithos Yggdrasil showed up in paradisa and took things over! Pretty much meaning he destroyed the town and turned every resident into zombie-angels. The Symphonian cast (including Mithos cough) will be all over this, but anyone is free to participate in this dream too! If you wish to do so, we got a number of options if you want to more!

OPTION A - Returning Resident/ just wandered into this room.
You just wandered into this or have no idea what's going on. Try not to get killed by angels.

OPTION B - Survivor.
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, razing the town and claiming himself god. You were among one of the few lucky ones who escaped, who are currently in hiding and either want to find a way to take down Mithos- or find a way out into the Dead Zone where his hand has not reached yet. Maybe you're hiding in the rubble of the city, or the mountains or the forest. Try not to get killed by angels.

OPTION C - Former Angel.
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, razing the town and claiming himself god. But you were unlucky, and were among the residents who got turned into the mindless drones. You remember how you were forced to kill all the townspeople, help in turning fellow residents into mindless drones like you. But you got lucky in the way that someone saved you, put a keycrest (fancy piece of metal) on your crystal so you regained your mind. You're still an angel- you still don't eat, sleep and maybe even your sense of touch is diminished or gone- but at least you have a mind and soul again. Plus the enhanced senses, strength and reflexes are really nice too. Try not to get caught again.

OPTION D - Angel
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, when he razed the town, when he claimed himself God of a now lifeless land. But you were unlucky, and were among the residents who got turned into the mindless drones. You have enhanced senses, strength, reflexes and wings. On the flipside, you don't eat, sleep, feel and talking is optional too (since many angels have no voices). You feel nothing. All you desire to do is follow Mithos and his great plan. Have fun.

[That came out a lot firmer than he intended. He winces a little, hunching his shoulders. Way to go, moron]

[she tightens her grip on his wrist]

Or you won't be going anywhere. [because she will break all of your bones 8|]

Okay, ow! You are the most impossibly irritating woman on the planet you know that?

[He glances towards the group sitting by the fire, before walking further into the cave again, away from any prying ears]

Fine. Have it your way. But you're not going to stop me. [He pauses, no going back now] I'm going to get Martel out.

she glances over to the others before practically hissing at him]

Are you fucking crazy?!

[Kind of, yes. That's what hermitry does to a person]

I know what I'm doing, okay? I've been studying the castle for months. I know the guard movement, I know which way I'm going to go in, and I'm pretty sure I can gauge when Mithos won't be in the throne room. But it all requires a very small window of opportunity, which you are eating up by the way by yelling at me.

[ino]

[well, she can understand that. so she'll start walking. without letting go of his wrist]

You are not going alone! There's no way!

[whichwayyoulean]

[And he'll dig his heels in, pulling his arm back]

Uh, yes I am. It won't work with more than one person. More than one person means there's more noise, more targets and more chance of getting caught. Ino, seriously, I can do this. Just trust me, please?

[ino]

[she's just looking at him like he's completely lost it] Uh, hello? I'm a NINJA! I don't get caught! I don't make noise! And how dare you give me that shit about being worried I'll get turned or get killed and then go out and put yourself in the perfect fucking situation to have both of those things happen to you?!

[whichwayyoulean]

I won't get turned or killed. [...Okay actually there's a good chance he will] Both of us can't go [he waves an arm in the general direction of their tiny little resistance ] there's not enough of us to risk losing the both of us. They still need people to look out for them. And Zelos and his little gang of misfit kids.

[He pauses, he knows she's really not going to like this next part, and chances are he's going to get hit for it, but it's the truth (mostly) and she needs to hear it] And if it's one of us going, it might as well be the one of us with nothing left to lose. And that sure isn't you.

[ino]

[... yep. she just kind of stares at him in shock before she swiftly lifts a hand to slap him across the face]

[He was expecting it, really. He doesn't even pull himself up to his full height to avoid it. If it'll make her feel better, let her land it. Still. OW, Ino.

He rubs his face for a moment, before giving her a look]

What? We both know it's true.

[ino]

You know what? I don't care if you think you have nothing left. [even if it hurts to hear that, but she won't voice that] And you're right -- I have some things left to lose. But one of them is you! And even if you don't feel the same way, I'm still not going to let you throw your life away out of some stupid notion that you can't count on anyone else to help you! I just won't! I've had enough of not being able -- or allowed -- to do something!

[whichwayyoulean]

Even if I don't feel the same way. Are you serious? I-

[He cuts himself off, taking a calming breath. Nope. Got to keep a clear head here. Experience has taught him he says things he ultimately regrets forever when he's angry]

Ino... I know you're more capable than anyone I've met. Which is exactly why you've got to stay. If I don't make it, big deal, they lose the guy who can make stuff who hangs out in the back of the caves. You mean a heck of a lot more to them. You can help them a lot more.

You've got to let me do this, alone. I can't risk your life over something I've decided. I have enough regrets in my life already. I can't let your death be one of them.

[ino]

It is a big deal! And I'm not going to die! If anything, we'd both be safer if I went!

Why do you have to be so difficult all the time? I'm doing this by myself, Ino, and that's all there is to it. I'm not gonna risk you over it. You want to stop me now? Fine. I'll just find another time to do it. You can't watch me forever.

[ino]

Why do I have to be difficult?! I don't know, maybe because I had to watch my own teacher -- who was like a father to me -- die because I wasn't there to help? Maybe because a ton of my friends have already been killed or brainwashed because I still wasn't there to help?! Maybe because all of you are so fucking stupid that you don't know how to take help when you need it?! Maybe it was one of those things, who knows! Just a wild guess!

[but she stops, breathing hard]

What part of "we're friends" do you not understand? Friends watch each other's backs! They help each other out! And they don't go off to do something dangerous out of some misguided notion that they don't have anything to lose!

[He listens to her and he understands, really, he does. He hates doing this to her, but there's one thing she doesn't get. He frowns, one arm moving to pull her into a hug]

I'm sorry you went through all that. And I'm sorry I'm putting you through this, and hey when I come back you are welcome to make me pay for it for the rest of our time here.

It's not that I don't understand the friend thing. I get it, really. And it's you and Zelos and Martel's fault that I do. [And the Doctor. But his name isn't spoken. Wherever he may be] But I can't have back up for this. Not this time.

[ino]

[sorry, onceler, but she's shoving you away. SHE MAD]

You don't have any reason! Nothing is stopping you from just agreeing with me!

[Good. He was glad. It was easier this way]

I have a very good reason. Maybe if I survive today, I'll let you know what it is. [He folds his arms, watching her calmly] You going to let me go now? Or do I have to waste months of preparation and try rescuing our friend another time, just so I can get away without you following me?

Because trust me, Ino, sooner or later I'm going to do this; alone, if you like it or not. You can't out-stubborn me here.

[ino]

[she hates this. she hates this so much. because he's got this window of opportunity, and she'd love for martel to be rescued, she was a good friend and a good person. she doesn't want to let that chance slip away forever.

but he's really hurt her, and on top of what zelos said earlier, she's pretty upset. she pauses, squeezing her eyes shut to blink back the tears. she takes a deep breath, collecting herself, and rubs at an eye. she has to be strong, here, she can't show him -- or anyone -- how much this hurts.

but she does have one last resort; she'll reach into a pouch still left on her belt and produce a little seed-looking item, holding it out to him]

Eat this. [a beat] Please.

[He catches that, not that he needs to. He knows her, and he knows this is a stab in the back. He honestly hates himself for it, but hating himself is something he's more than used to. Nothing new there.

He casts that seed a dubious look]

Why, is it drugged?

[ino]

It'll alert me if you're in trouble. I won't come unless it goes off.

[a pause]

I promise.

I'm not sure if I even want to know how that works.

[He looks at her pointedly] It better not drug me because if it does and I wake up, I will be very unhappy and you and I will have strong words.
