[After a week of being stuck here and exploring the city, Giotto decided it was time to explore the castle itself. This place was actually quite large, and if he was going to be living here then he should explore it thoroughly. It always helped to be prepared, no matter what the situation, and from he's heard, this castle liked to do things to its residents on a regular basis. If he was going to keep with his promise and foil the castle at every turn, he needed to know what he had to work with. Knowing the enemy, one could say, because it was the building itself.

So today only, you'll find him wandering the halls and in public areas casually, almost lazily, though he's really inspecting them and cementing the layout of this place into his head. Come bother him on his wonderful endeavor.]

Yeah ... that's him. Do you know him?

No. I've never met him before, only heard of him. I did see him once, when I first arrived, though. [He ran the other way, but Giotto isn't particularly sure that's important. Or relevant.]

Huh. ... So you're new here, then?

[she'll unbutton her coat now, since ... she doesn't need it closed while she's inside talking to this guy]

[He'll walk over closer to her too, so they're not talking across the lobby.] Yes. I arrived a week ago from last Saturday. I assume that you have been here for a while?

Wow, so you're super new, huh?

[once he gets close enough she'll stick out a hand for a handshake] Well, it's nice to meet you. I'm Ino.

Yes, I suppose I am. [He takes her hand and shakes it.] Pleased to meet you, Ino. I am Giotto.

Nice to meet you, too, Giotto! [FIRM MANLY HANDSHAKE IS A GO] And yeah, you're right, I've been here for awhile.

[IT WILL CEMENT THEIR FRIENDSHIP.] The castle must like you then, or so I assume from what I've been told.

...Though I'm not entirely sure if that would be a blessing or a curse.

I'm not really sure which it is either, to be honest. [a little laugh]

Perhaps it is both, and we should be both grateful and wary of this place.

That's pretty much what I've settled for being, anyways. [she grins] You catch on quick, Giotto.

[He returns the grin.] It has to be, or else there would be more of a concentrated effort to escape and go home.

I do not have anything to be grateful for, yet. [In fact, he would like to leave, though he knows the castle wouldn't let him if he asked.] But...I have no doubt that I will, someday.

Oh, there's plenty of effort on that part. But just because there's been an effort doesn't mean there's been answers.

I bet you will, too! There are a lot of awesome people around, anyways.

I imagine there wouldn't be. Magic castle that controls this place and all that goes with it. [That tends to put a damper on these things.

And he gives her a small smile.] Of that I am sure. Especially if I continue to meet people who are as friendly as everybody has been to me.

Pretty much. [she pauses] So you're familiar with magic?

So everybody's been nice, huh? That's good. I hope Tsuna was nice, too, when you saw him.

Of a sort. Nothing like what this castle does.

[A pause.] Ah...he ran at the sight of me. [A little shrug. It doesn't truly bother him, though he's curious.]

... Ehhh?!

[LMFAO TSUNA WHAT. FORGET THAT OTHER STUFF YOU SAID, JUST. WHAT]

He took one look at me and ran. Though, I'll admit, it may have been that we look so similar. [Giotto, no it wasn't.] Or he may be just a naturally nervous person.

[she gives him a bit of a flat look ... though now it's starting to fall into place. this must be the guy tsuna was so afraid of, if he literally ran away from him ... still, she doesn't make any outward indication that she's caught on] Yeah ... something like that.

[He gives another shrug at that, but he also notices the flat look. Interesting.] I do hope he's all right. I didn't exactly mean to scare him, if I did.

He'll be fine.

[SUBJECT CHANGE NO JUTSU]

So -- back to what you were saying. You said you already knew a little bit about magic?

Ah, it's not exactly magic, per se. More of an extension of one's life force that can be used as energy. [How does one explain dying will flames and wave energy to someone without it?]

[... actually that. makes perfect sense to her 8)]

Oh! Well, that makes a lot more sense to me than magic.

...Really? [That was not the answer he was expecting.]

Yeah. In my world we call it "chakra". It's the energy that your body makes naturally, but it can be channeled with training to do things humans couldn't normally do.
