[After a week of being stuck here and exploring the city, Giotto decided it was time to explore the castle itself. This place was actually quite large, and if he was going to be living here then he should explore it thoroughly. It always helped to be prepared, no matter what the situation, and from he's heard, this castle liked to do things to its residents on a regular basis. If he was going to keep with his promise and foil the castle at every turn, he needed to know what he had to work with. Knowing the enemy, one could say, because it was the building itself.

So today only, you'll find him wandering the halls and in public areas casually, almost lazily, though he's really inspecting them and cementing the layout of this place into his head. Come bother him on his wonderful endeavor.]

[Ino was just walking from the stairs in the lobby to the door, but it's ... kind of hard to miss this guy, especially given his striking similarities to a certain little bro.

She'll just be staring, kind of forgetting she was buttoning up her coat to go outside]

[Giotto doesn't even notice her at first, looking the other way, but his intuition kicks in and he realizes that he is being watched. He slowly turns to see the woman with the long blonde hair watching him. No, more like staring at him. Strange...] Can I help you, Miss?

[ino]

Um ...

[He doesn't recognize her ... so it's probably not Tsuna on a loss, right? But she'll play it cool, and let out an embarrassed laugh]

Sorry, you just look exactly like someone else.

[is_mafia]

[He relaxes at that and gives her a small smile.] Ah, the boy who looks like me, yes? [It takes him a moment to recall the name.] ...Tsuna.

[ino]

Yeah ... that's him. Do you know him?

[is_mafia]

No. I've never met him before, only heard of him. I did see him once, when I first arrived, though. [He ran the other way, but Giotto isn't particularly sure that's important. Or relevant.]

[ino]

Huh. ... So you're new here, then?

[she'll unbutton her coat now, since ... she doesn't need it closed while she's inside talking to this guy]

[is_mafia]

[He'll walk over closer to her too, so they're not talking across the lobby.] Yes. I arrived a week ago from last Saturday. I assume that you have been here for a while?

[ino]

Wow, so you're super new, huh?

[once he gets close enough she'll stick out a hand for a handshake] Well, it's nice to meet you. I'm Ino.

[Mufasa is in the library, off to the side, reading a book. There's a slight ear flick-- the only indication he's aware of anyone coming in at all-- but he does not raise his attention from the book otherwise.]

[is_mafia]

[There is a lion reading a book. Giotto can't help it and he stops and stares for a moment, probably a bit longer than was polite. Though, considering he was trapped in a magic living castle that could steal memories, who was he to judge if a lion could read? He decides to act as if it was nothing and goes over to a shelf, scanning the titles.]

[And Mufasa just casually flips a page with a digit of his paw.

Go on, Giotto. Ask.]

[It's tempting. It incredibly is. if he's reading, does he talk also? He must be a resident, at least. Is there a world where all animals talk out there, one of the alternate Earths that the Mare rings tie together?

But no, disturbing him would be completely rude. Especially since he seems engrossed in his book. But Giotto will keep casting glances that way.]

[The glances are enough to catch Mufasa's attention. He brings his head up from the book and smiles warmly at Giotto.]

Good afternoon.

[is_mafia]

[The voice stops him in his tracks, because he knows that voice. He's talked to him over the journal twice now, and both times it had gotten quite personal. The person who he thought was a wise man was a wise lion. Of course it was. But...just to make sure he hadn't misheard (and really, why would he mishear something like this?)...]

...Mufasa?

[Oh. And this was the voice he had been looking so forward to meeting in person. Mufasa can't help but laugh. He can tell from Giotto's face that he clearly was not expecting their meeting to go like this.

Mufasa? Well, he's not surprised at all, honestly.]

So we finally, meet, Giotto. I hope that you are not too startled by what you see.

[Of course he would laugh at his astonishment. Giotto hides his completely flustered expression behind one of utter unamusement.] And I sure you find it funny every single time you scare someone.

[He definitely seems like that type.]

[and here's a blue winged pony, pushing a cloud up by the hallway ceiling. Man, can your day get any weirder?]

[It just has, most definitely. Because there is a blue flying pony pushing a cloud by the ceiling. He stops and looks up at the pony, watching, because he's not quite sure if he believes what he is seeing.]

[she descends, bringing the cloud with her and pushing it into a room whose door swung open by itself.

She pauses though, at the sight of this newcomer.] Can I help thee?

Ah, no, just... [He can't help but be interested.] What is the cloud for?

[doublethefun]

[she taps the cloud with a hoof]

Sleeping, as a matter of course. 'Tis a bit windy for mine usual nap, so I brought it indoors.

[is_mafia]

Sleeping, of course. [He laughs a bit.] Then don't let me disturb you from your nap.

[there's an earflick as she comes to a quick decision. She pushes at the cloud and watches as it scuds into the room, hovering neatly above the carpeting.

He gets a slight headtilt.] Art thou accustomed to the idea of directly controlling the weather? It doth seem to be a rather novel idea for other humans.

[sleep can be had at any time, it would seem.]

I can't say that I've ever thought of it. Though I suppose if one has the power it would be possible.
