Penny, with the help of the ghosts, decorated the ballroom with bright neon colors (pink, orange, yellow, etc) and laid out a table full of food and a bar (also stocked with non-alcoholic drinks). She has some pop music playing and has a glass of beer in her hand, looking cute in a little black dress. She waits eagerly for her guests to arrive!

(The ghosts are to deliver an invitation to the Once-ler, that asks in super sweet terms for him to come.)

[It's not too long until Phoenix arrives, all decked out in some nice dress pants and a black shirt with a blue tie.

He's carrying a big box, wrapped in bright yellow paper and containing a whole lot of different kinds of booze. He was instructed to bring booze, after all--and he brought it as a gift. Not knowing the birthday girl all that well had something to do with that.

He spots Penny looking like the center of attention, and scoots over nearby, peering at her.]

Er... are you... Penny?

[Her face lights up when she hears his voice, and she immediately glomps him.]

Nickers!

[takethat]

[He gives a pronounced little "oof" when he's glomped, but grins.]

I'm used to being the most huggy person I know, so this is refreshing...

[And then he holds out the box to her.]

Happy birthday!

[Grins and takes the box.] Thank you, Nick! That's so sweet.

[Opens it and takes out the booze.] Mm good taste.

[Rapunzel did see Penny's entry, as well as her flyers, and though she doesn't know the girl, she simply had to make her something and attend the party, if only to wish her a happy birthday briefly.

And then she arrives and realizes she has no idea what Penny looks like, really. That could be a problem... Or not. Someone's looking particularly perky over there, and it makes Rapunzel smile as she approaches.]

Are you the birthday girl?

[She smiles at the cute girl.]

Yeah! I'm Penny. Nice to meet you, ...?

Rapunzel! And it's nice to meet you, too! I brought a gift...

Dance Floor

[The ipod speakers are playing pop... and there are slow songs. Slow or fast- grab a partner! The birthday girl looks like she wants to dance!]

[ This is Lucrezia standing on the sidelines because the music confuses her. It's only conducive for bobbing!

At least she has had help with picking out something to wear to fit in better, though the velvet pocket she is holding is more according to her time. She didn't have help with picking out a present, unfortunately. ]

[Kurt, for his part, is dancing about here and there, stuck in his Warbler's uniform as always, and singing along to most of the songs. Perhaps a certain someone might recognize his voice?]

[ Lucrezia does recognise his voice, though the singing is better than she expected! She laughs and waves his way when she catches his eye. ]

[Penny glides up to her, laughing happily and grabbing her hands.]

Lucrezia! You look so pretty!

[ Lucrezia mirrors the laugh even if hers has a trace of nerves to it. How does one conduct oneself in modern parties? ]

[Looking ready to dance, you say? Well, "Marshall" is up for that, dancing near Penny. Still, one complain is on the grey vampire's mind...]

The music's a bit bubblegum, isn't it?

The Food Table/Bar

[For all of you that want to get away from all the people, there's the corner with some tables. Just watch out- Penny seems to like to talk to everyone here.]

One day he really has to stop agreeing to leave his room to go to birthday parties for you people. It's not good for his health]

But she can't not say something. She messed up, even if she can blame the illness. It wasn't fair to him at all, and he deserves an apology, at the very least.

[Nooooo. Not you. He knew coming out here was a terrible mistake, and this just confirms it. He hunches his shoulders, folding his arms, definitely NOT looking at her]

[She can't tell who this is at first, until he just hides in the corner. She comes up and sits beside, smiling.]
