Who: Faith & Castiel
What: Awkward and Uncomfortable 101
When: Feb. 11th & any other days.
Where: Castiel's room.

Faith didn't sleep. It had been worse since she'd gotten back to the castle. She'd shut her eyes and see things that she knew she didn't want to look at again. She'd been seated on the floor of the club, her back to the bar with a bottle at her side. Maybe she'd drifted, but she knew she hadn't exactly fallen asleep.

She did wake up though.

She woke up in a different room, with a hell of a lot of trashy romantic suite decorations up.

"Who booked the honeymoon suite?" Faith remarked, glancing around the room and then she spotted Castiel seated on the bed. He'd probably just woken up too, but Faith didn't know that. She was just checking out the deep red satin sheets and the fact that the bed seemed to be a giant circle. It probably rotated too. Plus, there were rose petals on the top.

"Damn, Wings. If I knew you wanted to get up on this again I would've packed an overnight bag."

Faith nods, just barely, and shifts to face him more on the bed. It's not as if she knows what to do in this situation. She feels a bit off when it's just talking, because she doesn't really get around to being okay with talking about herself.

"Yeah, I've been doing that too. Not that I actually want to be social these days."

That surprises him, maybe just a little. Faith had always seemed very social to him, much more social than the likes of the people he usually surrounded himself with. "I would have thought it was the opposite," their last meeting hadn't exactly gone well.

There's a shrug of her shoulder, before she rolls over, on the bed, onto her stomach. Looking up at him, she tries to figure out how to explain her trip back home. She hadn't really talked to anyone about it.

Damon a bit, but not to the point that she felt like he understood. Sam a bit more, but things were still not going to get any better there.

"While back I ended up back home. Not... like I left, but that thing where you're just asleep here and alive back home. Kinda creepy, but it happened... or must've happened."

Cas gives her a curious look, he hadn't yet heard of the possibility that she speaks of but he tries to leave his own desires out of his judgment and listens to her speak with his hands folded between his knees.

"Something happened there that caused you to withdraw," it's the most obvious thing in the world to him and he doesn't have the tact not to comment on it.

There's a soft shrug that comes from her, popping a shoulder up in response. "Yeah, but I'm trying to work on it."

It's not that Faith doesn't want to have friends and people around her that care, but she's just not used to people actually caring about her. They usually just care long enough to find out if she's in trouble or about to cause trouble.

"It isn't as easy at it seems," the working on it. He knew that from experience. Standing up finally on the bed and casting a look down at Faith as he goes he pilfers through the things that had shown up in his room with the most curious of looks on his face.

"No, it's not." Faith could agree with him there.

She watches him, though, smirking a bit as he starts to rummage. "Need any help there, Wings?"

"I find it interesting that you all put so much influence on sex for this holiday," running his fingers over the smooth satin of some lingerie he turns back to her brows furrowed. "I thought this day had more to do with what you all feel is love."

Faith shifts to sit up more, turning to face Castiel as he filtered through the items.

"Yeah, but most of us think love is too complicated, too difficult to actually talk about or deal with. Sex is easier. It feels good and no one is gonna say no to something like that."

"You'd be surprised," Castiel hadn't ever been intimate with anyone and while he'd seen more than enough from the pizza man he'd only ever gone so far as kissing. "Love is very complex, but so is intercourse in my opinion."

"Oh, c'mon. Sex is easy. Friction, contact, grinding," she makes a small face at her words, really trying to pass on that emotion behind it all. "Insert tab A into slot B and repeat."

She smirks, glancing over at him, "You've never had sex."

Visibly blanching at that Cas tries to move through his initial pause so his discomfort isn't as evident. "No..." he replies in a quiet voice. "I never had occasion."

"Guy like you? Girls gotta be climbing all over you trying to get in your pants."

Faith says this as she shifts to kneel on the bed, glancing over to him some more. "It's that whole innocent and needing to be taught thing. Some women just love that kind of a challenge."

With a slightly irate look on his face Cas sets the lingerie down. He knew more than most people thought about copulation and the act. He wasn't as naive as people chose to think, but they always came to that judgment anyway. About most things.

"I have little time for sins of the flesh."

"Back home? 'Cause here there's nothing but time." She knows, she's been wasting hers all over the place.

"Look, I'm just saying there are a lot of different types of women and some of them like the guy that lets them teach them all the ways to get things going. It's control and it can be pretty hot."

Faith herself had taught a few guys back home around the corners, but here she'd lucked out with the more experienced ones. "No one says you don't have to be lying to the girl to make them feel a bit more special."

"Despite my inexperience I am more than acquainted with coitus," he replies dully. Not really having much interest in a conversation that was clearly making him uncomfortable. "I don't see why I would have to lie."

"Coitus? Damn, five dollar words and all. No one says you have to lie, Castiel, but there are guys who do because it's what the girl wants."

She shrugs, dropping back to sitting on the bed a lot less 'on her knees' and more relaxed. "Hell, guys do a lot of shit because it's what the girl wants, because sex is what they want more than to have love."

"That seems like an unnecessary manipulation tactic," and Castiel was pretty familiar with those in his dealings with demons. Not sexually and not for the sake of anything physical but lies to achieve one's goals was all too common with them. "I am not well acquainted with those things so I have no preference to either."

"It might seem unnecessary, but you're in a room filled with shit that's unnecessary. Yet, it exists and it sells like crazy, because people will do the most ridiculous of things if it means they get sex at the end of it."

Faith shrugs, shoving a few of the items off the bed and just getting more comfortable now. "Not having preferences is fine, too. Those things aren't supposed to come pre-loaded onto you. Those are things you learn, you figure it out, so that when you do get physical with someone you can make sure things go good for both of you."

"I appreciate the insight but it is unlikely that I will ever be physical with anyone else," let alone a mortal. Castiel sighs and returns to the bed. He sits down immediately and folds his hands between his knees.

"Why is it unlikely that you'll hook up with someone? All I hear about in this castle is how much it tries to get people in bed with each other."

She'll gesture around the room. "I mean, it set you up with a bachelor pad and a half. I bet this bed vibrates and spins. Just because you think it's unlikely doesn't mean it won't happen."

"It isn't something I desire." Cas remembered the whore house with Dean and Chastity's irritation with him. It wasn't something he wanted to repeat. He didn't have the same needs as a mortal man so he did't pine for women the way they did.

Faith thought about it for a moment, humming before she turned to glance at him, "Did you desire to kiss me at the wine tasting thing?"

The kiss, he still remembered how passionate and forceful it was. A large part of him had actually taken enjoyment in it. "Not initially."

She turned over onto her side, propping her head up with her hand as she glanced up at him, "So, I'm just sayin' that just because you don't want it to happen doesn't mean the castle won't try to make it happen. This room is probably the castle's idea of how to put us in the mood. It just hasn't put the whammy on you to actually want to use all this stuff."
