This can only end in someone being buzzed.
Who: Mitsuru Kirijo and Larry Foulke; with special guest appearance of Rise Kujikawa
What: Having a drink or two. Or however many.
When: January 27
Where: The Lux
Rating: C for Classy because Mitsuru. Also PG because Pixy.
He wasn't expecting to go out for a drink with a woman, but hey, he certainly wasn't about to complain. There were a few women around Valais so it's not like drinking with a woman was anything unusual, just in a place like this - and not at an airbase - maybe a bit unexpected.
What was especially unexpected was the one that he was heading to The Lux with. He'd met the woman just recently, and the way she dressed, spoke and her general mannerisms just screamed of 'rich' or 'general noblelady'. Certainly not the type that'd be typically going out to hang out with a mercenary. Their ways of life pretty much clashed, so one would think they wouldn't get along at all.
But, a drinking buddy is a drinking buddy, and she said she was old enough so he wasn't about to say the offer didn't extend to her. So he was on his way down the grand staircase to meet up with one Mitsuru Kirijo to head off to The Lux with. He certainly wasn't dressed fancy for the occasion (there was no reason to, it was just a casual social drink) but he still had his flight jacket just as he did last time.
Once in the lobby, he'll give a quick scan around the place, looking around for a certain familiar red-head.

[He'll look over at Mitsuru then. He probably shouldn't expect her to know how to properly order at a bar, but hey, it'll be something to watch just to see if she does or not.]
What about you, Kirijo?
no subject
I'll have a vodka martini, make it very dry. Add some extra olives as well [Ordering a martini, by herself was a little liberating. She never had a vodka martini before, but it would be her chance to try something new, being in a new world after all]

It's a good thing we're the only ones here, otherwise you'd have been given a few laughs.
[He'll just chuckle again as the ghost sets their drinks in front of them, just as they'd ordered them.]

[A little hesitant to try out her drink, she only took a small sip to taste it. It tasted weird. But she ordered it, and Pixy is paying, it would be disgraceful not to finish it. Her expression didn't show her thought about the drink though]

[He'll just give a light chuckle again as he takes a sip of his own drink, his eyes trailing over to Mitsuru's face curiously. Either she liked the drink, or she had a damn good poker face, and seeing the latter was not uncommon. He'll set his glass down and turn himself around so he'd actually be facing the bartop now.]
If anything, it stirs up memories of hanging out with nuggets.

Depends on which comrades we're talkin' about. We were just a group of misfits hired to fight in a war. Some confident in their skills, others a bunch of naive kids. Only one of 'em was really worth paying attention to, really.
[He'll stop there to take another drink with his mind trailing off for the moment. Even though it was nearly a month later, thoughts of -him- were still fresh in his mind.]
no subject
That person you speak of, was he your friend?
no subject
He's quiet for a few moments, almost seeming like he didn't hear her at first. He did, of course, and he finally gave a half-hearted chuckle.]
He was my friend, alright... and my enemy.

What happened?
no subject
Let's just say we had entirely different ideals. Needless to say, they didn't match up in the end.
[Of course, there was more to the story, but he had the intention of leaving out what -really- happened. Though what he had said was essentially true, he just wasn't about to tell Mitsuru about it.]

It's difficult to lose a friend, or having to fight them... [Mitsuru looks at her drink that's already down to half and quietly sighs, she's in deep thought of the memories her past with SEES]
no subject
Sounds like you had a little experience with it yourself.

What is it you do, exactly? It's obvious that suit of yours isn't meant solely to be fashionable.
[He wasn't even gonna ask about the coat. It was probably better that way.]
no subject
I admit I am reluctant to tell you, but only because most people in my world would not believe me if I tell them what I do... [Mitsuru paused to have a sip of her third drink]
What most people know about me is that I inherited my family's company - the Kirijo Group. However, my grandfather used the Group's assets to perform experiments on Shadows. They're creatures form from negative emotions of humans.
Needless to say, mistakes were made and Shadows have been released to the world. It has been our responsibility to clean-up any phenomena relating to Shadows. We use a power called "Persona" to fight them, it is the only way to harm a Shadow...
[Mitsuru had another sip from her glass after talking. She's starting to feel tingling sensations in her fingers. She looks at her hands in wonder. Clearly she has never had this much alcohol]
no subject
I'd be havin' a hard time believing what you're saying had you told me this a couple weeks ago. But you're the second person to mention that 'Persona' thing. I wonder if this is gonna be a reoccuring thing that I'm gonna be running into.
[He smirks a little as he shrugs lightly.]
Creatures from a human's negative emotions, huh? Belka would be hell if such a thing existed.
no subject
There is a resident in this castle who knows of Personas? I'm intrigued. Do you know where this person might be?

... And she's talking to Pixy too. Ugh. Rise tries to keep her distance for a while, and sneaks up from behind. She's still a fairy, so her bright pink glow would give her away as soon as someone looked.
But then, it hit her. A strong scent in the air, and she started to lose control over her flight.]
Wh-wha...?!
[She tumbles forward in the air, towards the red-haired woman's head.
With some effort, she manages to pull up and miss, but the smell is getting stronger. Her flight loses any semblance of an actual path entirely and she spirals down towards the bar, landing in the glass in front of the woman.
Oh, great. Now she's going to reek of this stuff. Wait... it's alcohol?!
And great, she landed on her wings again, so she can't even get out! Crap...]
no subject
He then frowns, his eyebrow twitching.]
Yeah. She's right there.
no subject
Hm...? [Mitsuru seems to recognize the fairy's face, and after a second of pause she said the name that came up in her mind the moment she saw the fairy]
Kujikawa?!
no subject
[Wow, the red-haired lady is really pretty! But Rise doesn't recognize her.]
Do I know you?
[Her words are slightly slurred already. It might be a good idea to help her out of the alcoholic beverage she's struggling to free herself from...]
no subject
What are you doing here? This isn't an area minors should be in.
no subject
I suppose you don't remember the P-1 Grand Prix? [She must have entered this world sometime before that event... Like some time paradox]
In any case, my name is Mitsuru Kirijo.
no subject
She pulls herself up a bit and sweeps her now somewhat messy hair out of her face with one arm.]
Hey, you should be more careful with fragile little fairies!
[With a huff, she shifts position so she's sitting on the bar cross-legged. Then turns her attention to the pretty red-haired lady.]
Huh? P-... what?
[She knew her name, though, so... wait, shouldn't she be surprised she's a fairy?!]
Oh, no... don't tell me I'm a fairy back home too!
