Too bad for you, that's just what happened.

At the stroke of midnight, everyone will find themselves back in their assigned castle rooms -- except they're not exactly the same as they were left…

[of course Booth finds his way here as soon as he can. He looks familiar with everything that's being served here. Ordering a traditional Japanese meal and using the chopsticks like an expert. And meanwhile he wathces, seeing who else is at ease in this setting. Seeing who might need some help adjusting]

[ Waking up alone in a strange room was the first surprise. Lucrezia should be used to these changes by now, but considering the recent string of incidents, this one may yet hide danger under the otherwise calm veil. She has found herself a small scissor from the sewing kit before she ventures about the hotel, albeit still in her evening robe, looking about warily until she spots the familiar face and quickly approaches. ]

Yet you seem right at home.

[he lights up when he sees her and pats an empty chair next to him, inviting her to sit]

I'm at home anywhere. It's what comes from traveling the world.

If everywhere is home, then nowhere is.

[ She takes that seat though, carrying herself with as much grace as she can considering her outfit. ]

Do you have a name for this home of yours?

[wow Lucrezia, way to nail it in one sentence. It's true: August doesn't have a home]

This is the city of Tokyo in Japan. Pretty amazing place, isn't it?

[ She cranes her neck to see what he's eating, before throwing her gaze about to see the other people. ]

Tokyo. Does it mean anything?

[he keeps the rice suspended in his chopsticks so she can see before he pops it in his mouth]

It means "east capital". It's an east Asian tradition to include the word "capital" in the capital city's name.

Riso. [ The Milanese grows them. She leans back against her chair, content to watch him eat. ]

Which part of To-kyo means capital?

"Kyo". So the city of Kyoto also has the word "capital" in its name.

[he pauses to take a sip of his miso soup] Aren't you hungry?

Kyo. [ It certainly sounds amusing to her ears. ]

What have they to eat in the far east? Show me.

Steamed rice with natto-- that's what they call soy beans here-- and miso soup. Some people also like eating broiled fish or tamagoyaki, which is rolled omelet.

And tea, of course. [he smiles, toasting her as he drinks his tea]

[ She eyes the food laid out before August with a chuckle. What? No, she isn't eating that. ]

I will take tea. What else must I know lest I offend the people of Tokyo?

Just be polite and you'll be fine. They're very into respect and manners in Japan.

[Brock rolls in eventually, because even though hotel food is bound to be stupidly expensive, he wants to check out what they even have available here. Maybe it's something cool, who knows.

He spots Booth over there and just sort of invites himself over.] Hey. You look right at home.

Oh, hey. [he smiles, raising his chopsticks in greeting] Yeah, I've been here before a few years back.

Is that right? I've been here a couple times, but always on the job. Not a whole lot of time to sight-see.

It looks like you finally have a chance. You should enjoy it.

[samson]

I dunno, man. I might be vacationed out. Sometimes I wonder if I don't actually miss being on the job all the time.

Really? You and I couldn't be more different. My whole life was basically one long vacation.

[samson]

Nah, I couldn't do that. You know, I got a cabin and a garden and stuff out in the woods -- I like to keep busy.

Keeping busy... I've been doing that since I got here. It's new for me.

[samson]

Pfft. If this is busy for you, I'd hate to see what you consider a vacation. I spend half my time being bored out of my mind.

There'd be a lot more alcohol if I was on vacation.

Well, lucky for you, it looks like there's a big-ass bar in the restaurant...
