Tonight, in the sky, there are fireworks.

You can see them from the hotel window, but for a better look -- so suggests the helpful concierge at the desk -- you'll want to head to Sumida, where locals and tourists alike gather on the edge of the Sumida River.

They are one and the same. Cupid is also called Eros.

Really? Never heard of that one.

[heloise]

Greek or Roman. Who would you be? Ares, the god of war?

[samson]

I don't know. Is that what you think?

No. You have none of the wrath.

[THAT'S WHAT YOU THINK.]

So? Who am I?

Hercules, for your might. I should call you Ercole from now on.

[samson]

Alright, I know who Hercules is... is Ercole the same guy?

[heloise]

Ercole is Italian. Hercules, Latin, and the Greeks call him Heracles.

You must never shear your hair.

[samson]

Well, sometimes it happens, but not by choice.

[heloise]

Your wife?

[ Totally a wild guess. Not. ]

[samson]

Nah... this one time it got, like, burned off. There was a fire.

[Why else would it get burned off?]

Then this other time I had to put it on a shark to make this guy think the shark was me... which, uh, sounds kinda dumb when I say it out loud. Never mind.

[heloise]

[ She's too much of a lady to laugh out loud... but maybe not. At least she tries to cover her mouth with her hand. ]

Was the shark as handsome as you?

[samson]

Well, you know. He had better teeth.

[heloise]

But his nose has none of your grace, surely.

[samson]

[Pfffft, okay, he laughs again.] My nose?

[heloise]

[ She turns to inspect the object in question. ]

Indeed. Your most elegant and graceful nose.

[samson]

[He touches it experimentally.]

Never had anybody call it 'graceful' before.
