Lets (not) talk about sex
Who: Church and Tex
What: the long avoided conversation about awkward happenings during The Gentlemen plot
When: Tuesday night
Where: Church's room.
Rating: R for language at least.
Mason was off the leash and running, he'd been nosing through the halls with some sort of purpose until he found a door and ran inside, tail wagging like crazy.
"God dammed dog, I've shot people for less than this." The black armored form muttered and tromped after the canine. It wasn't until she crossed the threshold that she realized whose room she'd stepped into.
Fuck
Yeah, Church's room and of course the dog was running right up to him, eager to lick his face and give all the affection in the world like it was no big deal. She hadn't been back to his room since the silence and violence of the Gentlemen. She'd been human and for once she'd been really and truly scared for her life.
Church had helped her adjust, and protected her. Hell he'd even stayed up all night to make sure she slept and...as they say one thing lead to another, and it kept leading there an awful lot.
But that had been the fear and the situation right? Things were different, or rather back to normal now. It seemed stupid that she'd avoided him, no not avoided. She'd just been busy, anywhere he wasn't and doing anything not involving him. Totally not avoiding him. Right.
So she just stood there in the doorway, not quite stepping fully inside and not saying anything, just sort of holding the leash in her hand as if that was all that needed to be said.

"Because on the list of 'awkward boners' the 'checking out your ex' boner is pretty high up there." Well, that was the flip answer. He shrugged and sighed. "Of course I wanted too... I mean shit, I had to turn off my whole lower body just to keep from waking you up. I didn't want to just take advantage of your being human again to get laid."
no subject
Yeah, there was always that if things didn’t work out or something; but maybe this time they would. Hey they were in an enchanted fucking castle with all sorts of other impossible fucking things. Why wouldn’t they have a shot at beating the odds.
“You had to shut yourself down? That’s like some sort of compliment.” Heh, he totally got all fucking turned on by her, electric blue balls. But he could have been putting them to better use. “I wasn’t exactly turning you down though, I mean…it was, you know…good.” Better than good, but the comment back in a human body made her want to move away from that subject. His ego would do the rest.
no subject
He quirked an eyebrow and looked at her in
mock offense.
"Good? I think you forgot a word there like 'very' or 'mind blowing' or how about maybe 'fucking amazing'."
no subject
"You think so? I don't know." She made an exaggerated shrug and rubbed at the back of her helmet. "Guess you might have to refresh my memory later so I can be sure."
no subject
"Oh I'll refresh your memory alright."
[[ooc: ahh, strikeout gone crazy typo!]]

And there's the awkward conversation stuff again. Hooray.
"There are certain things that are different... but noting that really makes one any less enjoyable than the other."
Yup, he totally knows all this from very recent experience, certainly not from months of what was up till now guilt free sex with another woman.
no subject
"Different but not a big deal, ok. And how strong are they? Like what would it take to...theoretically...tie you up or something?"
no subject
While he had the same type of robotic body as she did back in Blood Gulch, he lacked the ability to truly exploit it's capabilities. He was only ever as strong or as fast as he thought he was.
"Uh, wait... why?"
no subject
"What? Uh.. No, no reason." Smooth, thy name is not Tex.
no subject
Technically the body Harper built is more powerful than the Freelancer robot bodies are... but Church isn't exactly functioning properly.
"Uh huh," Skeptical Church is skeptical. "Well, you better get your mutt back on his leash we're almost in town."
no subject
"Don't see why he has to be on one if they let you and Tucker walk around free."
"Mason, Mason c'mere you fleabag." The dog, hearing her tone and not her words, being that her tone was affectionate and her words well...they were Tex, hurried over. She stopped and knelt down taking a moment to ruffle the dogs ears and speak quietly to him, which set his tail wagging. She hooked the lead on and stood making sure she had him on a good leash before the hit the town proper.
no subject
Church smiled as he watched Tex hook Mason up, she was a rotten bitch alright but somewhere in there she was still a bit of a softie. Maybe York was right that being here, away from the program, was good for them.
Right, and that's why York fuckin' left them all and split to the deadzone. Asshole.

"So. You don't sleep, right? Or eat? Do you have to recharge or something?" It seemed a little too good to be true frankly and she was worried about what the downside might be.
no subject
It almost was 'too good to be true' compared to their old bodies. No stupid switches in awkward places or worrying about someone sneaking a bomb in your gut. Plus, the ability to actually interact with people out of armor.
"I can't eat, which is kind of lame and I don't have to sleep, which isn't so bad. Just kind of boring."
Not that he minded not being able to sleep, he found while he was human that he didn't sleep well. So, it wasn't something he particularly enjoyed. Technically he could just 'shut down' to simulate sleep but he just got in the habit of staying up.
no subject
"But doing a powercycle won't be a big deal, I mean I'd have a body." She looked up and shook her head. "I never thought it could happen."
And there it was, and because of him. She bumped shoulders with him and casually snagged his hand with hers.
no subject
He shrugged into her bump, passively returning it and laced his fingers in hers. Her hand, encased in armor, practically enveloped his.
"As much as I hate this place... it definitely has it's good points."
no subject
"It's a big bed, not like you were sleeping anyway..most of you." He'd already admitted to shutting down some parts of himself.
"Yeah? Like no Caboose, no Reds?"
no subject
"God, could you imagine Caboose here?"
no subject
"I've been trying not to since day one."
no subject
Because knowing this place, that is exactly how it would work. Soon as they stop expecting him to show up blam-o he'd arrive.
They get to the tower and Church enters his code to unlock the doors.
no subject
she watched him, the movement was easy, practiced almost second nature. "So, you spend a lot of time here, huh?"
no subject
He opened the door for her, revealing the open pillared entryway. Grand double staircase in the back and the letter S in intricate tile-work on the floor. Everything about the space screamed opulence without being gaudy and still maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. It was exactly everything that Blood Gulch hadn't been.
"Welcome to Stark Tower."
no subject
But the place was nice. Fuck the place was better than anything she'd set foot in before. Even her jaded nature had to stop for a moment and take it in.
This was what he was giving up to stay in the Castle? "Why the fuck would you ever leave?"
no subject
Church grinned and gave her a minute to check things out before bringing her to the elevators. He was pretty proud of calling the Tower his home, even if he didn't spend much time here, so he liked showing it off when he could.
"Oh you know... reasons. Someone has to keep an eye on Tucker." Except that he had stopped living there before then, when she arrived. He had wanted to be around her, even if all they did was fight.
