Lets (not) talk about sex
Who: Church and Tex
What: the long avoided conversation about awkward happenings during The Gentlemen plot
When: Tuesday night
Where: Church's room.
Rating: R for language at least.
Mason was off the leash and running, he'd been nosing through the halls with some sort of purpose until he found a door and ran inside, tail wagging like crazy.
"God dammed dog, I've shot people for less than this." The black armored form muttered and tromped after the canine. It wasn't until she crossed the threshold that she realized whose room she'd stepped into.
Fuck
Yeah, Church's room and of course the dog was running right up to him, eager to lick his face and give all the affection in the world like it was no big deal. She hadn't been back to his room since the silence and violence of the Gentlemen. She'd been human and for once she'd been really and truly scared for her life.
Church had helped her adjust, and protected her. Hell he'd even stayed up all night to make sure she slept and...as they say one thing lead to another, and it kept leading there an awful lot.
But that had been the fear and the situation right? Things were different, or rather back to normal now. It seemed stupid that she'd avoided him, no not avoided. She'd just been busy, anywhere he wasn't and doing anything not involving him. Totally not avoiding him. Right.
So she just stood there in the doorway, not quite stepping fully inside and not saying anything, just sort of holding the leash in her hand as if that was all that needed to be said.

Yeah, he'd been trying not to think too much about that week. What happened, happened and that was that... no need to dwell on it, right? Besides, he had other things that he needed to do since then. Busy, busy that was him.
He glanced from Mason to Tex who was back to her old self, and back to the dog. "Looks like play time is over."
no subject
Only to stand awkwardly next to the door for a quiet minute.
"Sorry about the dog, he gets off the leash and just runs sometimes. I guess he remembered getting food here or something."
Not like he might remember laying on the bed with them and getting his belly rubbed and ears scratched by two very relaxed people.
no subject
"It's fine, you know how dogs are... probably left a bag of treats in here somewhere." Yeah, not like this had been his home for a week or anything. Or that he'd been spoiled rotten by them in that time.
Of course the dog hadn't been the only one... "You wanna' sit down or something?" Other than hover there awkwardly.
no subject
"Yeah, something...food." She couldn't fault the dog for that, actually eating and tasting real food had been the one thing she would miss the most.
Ok, maybe it was the thing she would miss second most. The other things had been amazing, knowing that she was missing out on that fucking sucked.
"I was just gonna.." She gestured with a hooked thumb to the hall but had no follow up for it. "Ok, sure." She walked, no rush, just a stroll and super casual seat. N big deal.
no subject
"Right, you probably want to finish taking him for his walk or something." You anything but hang around... Except that she's actually going to sit down. Hey no big deal, just hanging out. They can do that.
"Oh, well ok... cool." Mason jumps up on the bed and makes himself comfortable, tail thumping happily against the mattress.
no subject
"We were coming back in from his walk, he just ran right in here." By way of further explanation, not like she hadn't been wandering in this general direction or anything.
"So...about what happened." Yeah that sounded great. She snorted and shook her head. "You looked after me, thanks." Her over simplification skills were awesome.
no subject
He ran a hand through his hair and shrugged. "That's just what you do for your team... uh, the looking out for each other thing." The rest of what happened, not so much.
"I know you Freelancers aren't too good at the whole teamwork thing, guess that's just one thing we Sim Idiots have in our favor." He gives her a teasing smirk.
no subject
"We're great with the teamwork thing, just only with Freelancers and only when the objective is clear from the start. There's only a couple of us that tend to be loners." Pretty much all the females, go figure.

He's quiet for a moment before clearing his throat, or simulating it anyway. He'd been meaning to ask her this for a while, but it seemed like a fight or some bullshit always got in the way. It didn't help that the last time he tried to talk about it, it triggered a huge argument.
"So uh... I know you just finished walking him, but I was um, you know... I was thinking that maybe, if you had the time... that we could finally go to Stark Tower and uh, get your body taken care of..." It wouldn't be quite finished but she'd be a step closer to having a body like his, a body that could... he tried to push that thought aside. What happened, happened and he shouldn't read into it. She made it clear she broke up with him. It was just sex. She had a body again and he was lucky enough to be the guy around.
"If you want to."
She'd probably find some other guy to date once she had a body like his. That's really the only thing holding her back. That and maybe the whole psycho-bitch thing, but that's never stopped South.
no subject
"Taken care of? Is there a problem?" She knew it! She knew something would happen and it wouldn't work. After she had the chance to be in a real body, to really experience life she just knew something would go wrong to stop her from having the next best thing.
"Yeah, if you're not doing anything." She shrugged casually. Sure no big deal, just the chance to have a life outside the armor. A chance to feel things again, to... yeah. He already said he just did what he would have done for anyone. No need to read more into it than that.
no subject
Not like he had a lot going on. Not like she would always be his first priority.

"She's not my girlfriend... ok."
no subject
"No? Good." Note of satisfaction at his response and she was already in motion before he could call her on it. "So I'll put the mutt away and we can head out, unless there's a place to keep him while we're there."
no subject
He scrawled a quick note to Nat letting her know they were on the way and tossed his journal aside to follow her.
no subject
Tex knew the way, she'd found out what she could about it after he'd mentioned it but never gone inside. She told herself that it was because she didn't care, but the truth was she didn't want to wind up doing something impulsive..like shooting someone. It happened from time to time.

The walk was at least pretty an autumn stroll through the forested part of the road. Lots of things for Mason to sniff at along the way. Yup, just a casual walk... one that not long ago they may have made hand in hand.
no subject
"So...we fucked." Yeah, that was Tex and subtlety; like oil and water except the oil is on fire.
no subject
"Uh yeah, yeah we did."
I mean what else can he say about it when it's just presented as a statement of fact? Was she ok with it, was she going to kick his ass and leave him in the woods? Granted she didn't seem upset, she didn't seem particularly thrilled about it either.
no subject
Yep, she'd been human and things had been emotional and they had spent a week having really fucking mind blowing sex to help her get through the fear. Sure, that was it..hell it was probably therapeutic or something.
no subject
It had just been a week of holding hands, cuddling her to sleep and oh yeah, amazing fucking sex every time she happened to get bored. And she was bored a lot he might add.
"But uh, if you were going to read into it...?"
no subject
A week of having something that resembled a normal life, with death threats around every corner. But a week spent with a level of intimacy unknown to her outside of memory templates.
"Look, I get it. You were looking after me like you would for anybody. You said it yourself. I'm not going to think this means we're involved or something or that you want to be. You've made it clear since I got here how you feel about things."
no subject
If she knew, he'd love to hear it because he wasn't sure how he felt... except that as much as he tried to deny it, he loved her. Ok yeah, he said he'd look out for anyone on the team, but if she thought that meant he'd cuddle Tucker to sleep she's fuckin' crazy.
no subject
"You don't want my help, you practically begged that fucking T-rex to go after you rather than letting me deal with it. You weren't even going to tell me about the body thing and you've been acting like you don't want me here from day one."
What was she supposed to think? They had always been antagonistic but this had been set aside for survival since she arrived, hell they'd had their problems since day one this place jut gave him more options, better options than her.
no subject
He pinched the bridge of his nose briefly before running his hands through his hair. Why did she always have to make everything so difficult!
"I didn't tell you about the body right off because I wanted to know I could get you one too. Because I didn't want to upset you... I admit it, I fucked that up!"
