Alcohol, taken in sufficient quantities
Who: Felix Harrowgate and anyone
What: A new years party
When: January 1st
Where: Chimera headquarters
Rating: Pg-13 for heavy drinking, at least
The central hall of Chimera headquarters is today taken up with a pair of tables, one covered with all matter of foods from finger sandwiches and deviled eggs, to salted nuts and chocolate-covered fruits, while the other is littered with nearly every beverage one might think of - tea, coffee, milk, punch, and fruit juices. It wasn't quite the expected spread for a new year's party, but that was because the castle had done them the favor of making any liquid carry the effects of the usual party beverages. A small table near the door, however, had at some point in the day appeared, carrying liquors and champagne for those who actually preferred their alcohol to taste as such. The ghosts stood sentry to keep whatever it was the attendees wanted flowing.
Most of that is likely forgotten near the end of the day, and the arrangement of comfortable chairs in the adjoining office begin to look far more comfortable a place to sit once the room starts to spin a little. Getting air on the balcony is an option, of course, but take care not to fall off of it.
((OOC:Feel free to set your tag at any time during the evening (though really, you know we're all here for the drunk shenanigans). Please see the link above for info on the layout of the area.))

Ashura glided up to him, dressed in white, gold, and red, a glass of red wine in his hand. Of course Crowley would appear at such a function. He was Felix's friend, and Ashura was no fool - he knew of that friendship and perhaps at times had been slightly jealous of it when he and Felix stood as a couple.
"Have you announced the winner of the kissing game?"
no subject
"Not yet, I've been waiting to get the tallies in."
no subject
"I might be in the running this year," he mused, sipping his wine. "Though I doubt I've won. I was never as sly as you and Felix when it came to the game." He gave a small shrug, an 'ah well'.
no subject
"Really now? Wel, progress is progress, whichever way you look at it. I'm impressed."
no subject
"As you well know, I am sure, I am... more free to participate," he waved his hand, and then suddenly giggled, recalling how one such kiss had led to quite an interesting night - on two counts, really, and his gaze flickered to Felix briefly before dancing back to Crowley. "You will make a great announcement of it? This year you should really make a show of it, don't you think? Add a bit of spice!"
no subject
He doesn't miss that giggle, but at least he doesn't pry.
"Perhaps I should let you do the honours. I'm sure you can do it with far more...flair than me."
no subject
"Oh, do you want me to? It might make it seem more fair if a third party did it rather than the instigator who also participated."
He paused a moment, thinking upon it and then he laughed.
"Ah, we could make a ceremony of it, another little party! Maybe the winner can get a trophy too, and next year it goes to the new winner? It could become as much tradition as the mistletoe itself!"
no subject
That and Crowley is too lazy and more than happy to have someone else do the work for him.

Later, Ashura might realize he had walked himself into perhaps quite a bit of work, but he probably wouldn't mind anyways. It was something to do, and so long as the winner wasn't Felix...
"You will have to give me winner's name!" he told him. "Or do you plan to do something like in the books - a sealed envelope so it's a surprise for all?"

no subject
"Why, Crowley. If I had known this is what it took to get you up here, I would have started serving drinks at Chimera meetings ages ago."
no subject
"Well, now you know what a trick you've missed."
no subject
"I could start a serious meeting at any time. You never know," he said with a smirk that belied any bluff he might have been making.
no subject
"Would you really want to chance me bursting into song if you do that? I know a stirring rendition of Hitler only has one Ball, you know."
no subject
no subject
"I do pretty much everything better than I dance."
no subject
He grinned at Crowley over his glass as he went to take a sip.
"Dare I ask who Hitler is, by the way?"
no subject
The demon made a face, something like a grimace, only worse.
"Trust me when I tell you that you are better off not knowing. Let's just say there are some humans that make even Hell recoil and leave it at that."
no subject
no subject
"I can definitely get behind that last one."
no subject
He didn't especially expect any kind of forewarning from Crowley, regardless of the slightly more privileged position he may or may not hold now, but it was worth asking anyway.
no subject
"Resolutions are such human things. People plan to do something, in order to better themselves, only to fail and return to the norm within a month or two. They always forget that they are trying to change themselves. It takes more than a promise made at the start of the year to accomplish that."

"I don't know. I've been wondering that much for six millenia."
