Her life's tale is a bloody trail [closed]
Who: Tex and Church
What: Long awaited reunions
When: Monday late afternoon
Where: Near the Castle grounds
Rating: There will be harsh language, with these two it's a given.
She wasn't stalking him.
Honestly she wasn't. She just..was..you know...following him to see that he was ok and he didn't know about it. She had her active camo on so it wasn't like he could see her without actively looking and knowing where to look and how.
So, she was just following him, just to be sure. After all, the crap he'd gone through had been mostly, well ok all her fault. If she'd been stronger Omega would never had stood a chance. But the castle made things like that happen. It sucked but it happened.
Now she just needed to know Church was in good shape, even if he hated her enough to never want to see her again.

Or, that he stands staring at her door a long few moments before knocking and waiting until it was obvious that she wasn't going to answer. He ran his fingers over the nameplate on her door, because at least that was some proof that she was at least still around.
She just wanted nothing to do with him, not that he could really blame her...
Shoulders slumped, he makes his way back to his room.

But it wasn't that, she knew with the way he touched the name plate on her door. With the way that his shoulders bowed, in a movement that was so human it couldn't have been seen as anything other than sorrow.
She had a weakness alright, and Omega had known exactly how to play it. But she couldn't let him suffer, not for her mistakes. Tex followed him back to his room and slipped in, with a creepy sort of stealth, remaining in camo until he closed the door.
"You haven't done much with the place."

"Holy shit!" Church jumped and spun. "Dammit Tex, what the Fuck?! You trying to scare the shit out of me?!"
He hated when she did that! He was so relieved to see her, but he was equally furious that she had been gone so long. Going with a brief explosive display of anger had always been easier than dealing with the deeper emotions under it.. so...
"Where the hell have you been!"

He was venting, that was good. Venting was Churchspeak for concerned. She knew how he worked even after all this time, after everything.
"I needed to get away, this place was a little fragile for a while. So I took a vacation."
no subject
Of course he's concerned and angry... and pissed and worried and...
"He's gone now isn't he."
no subject
"Yeah, he's gone." And that's when she'd eased back and let her hair down, literally by taking her helmet off.

He watched her and felt his anger fade away to be replaced by relief. Months of obsessive worry could be finally shed... though one point remained. One painfully sharp failure on his part.
"Look Tex, I know I'm pretty shit at this sort of thing and I want you to know I don't expect anything... but, for what it's worth... I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what happened. I should have paid more attention to the date and well, done things differently."
He knows she had Omega at the time, but he also knows that a lot of her anger with him was genuine and in some ways justified.

She hated when things were beyond her control, so she just turned away from him.
"It was this stupid fucking castle." She threw her arms up. "People were kissing all over the place. I know it was just this place and it's tried to fuck us up before." Take this one single moment of her being kind, cause she has way more on the guilt scale than fucking an ex fuck buddy.

"So uh, don't take this wrong way... I mean, you probably will anyway but... You kind'a look like shit." He shrugs, even though she isn't looking at him. He can't miss that she looks tired and upset, even fully armored she wasn't nearly as opaque to him as she wished she was.
Mason jumped off the bed and trotted over to her, tail wagging and eager for attention.
"You left a spare change of clothes if you want."
no subject
"Been a hell of a month. You'd look like shit too." Tex pulled out a change of clothes and began to remove her suit of armor. The under suit beneath it looked the worse for wear and frankly just added to the idea that whatever she had been up to had been roughing it to the extreme.
"Did we ever add on a shower to this place? I could use a chance to get clean."
no subject
Plus, it would save her from lugging it over there to use his armor cleaning kit.

She turned to the bathroom to clean herself up and paused just inside the doorway, a single blue eye peeking out between the door and frame. "Hey, Church?" She started as though she was going to say something but fell quiet shortly after. "Never mind."
