Who: Steve Rogers & anyone at the Lux
What: Steve going about his shift like nothing is wrong.

Rating: G-PG? It's Steve.

[There's a dull throbbing that keeps insisting on being noticed between his eyes. Steve pays it no mind, picks up a plate, and heads back to the kitchen. That area seems too warm for comfort. Kitchens are supposed to be warm but, not that warm and then suddenly cold. Again Steve pays it no mind at all. He forces himself to move through the area without shivering.

He will keep this going throughout his shift without complaint. Steve knows what is going on. It's impossible to miss for someone who ill as often as he was at home. He's sick again. The fact that it had somehow eluded him here for this long only made him more determined to power through it. Unfortunately for Steve, will power can't quite cover up a red face and glossy eyes. Someone was going to call him on it eventually.]

[Steve smiles at her. He knows that look pretty well. He appreciates what she is trying to do, but still had no intention of stopping what he was doing.]

It's alright. There's not a lot of time left. [No sense arguing about the sick part when Bonnie clearly means well. He's stubborn not rude.]

I can make it to the end.

And I thought Bucky was the more stubborn one. [If he doesn't leave, Bonnie might resort to pushing him out the door.]

You'll only make yourself worse if you continue. You need to get some rest.

You know Bucky?

[He's surprised and reviewing mental notes. Bucky has actually mentioned Bonnie to him before.

Plus he's stalling.]

Yeah, I met him here and we're good friends. [A beat.] The fairies made us kiss back in December and that's how we met.

I'm Bonnie.

That was it. [Steve nods.] He told me about it- in the most respectful way possible.

[No need to get Bucky in trouble.] I'm Steve. Nice to meet you, Bonnie.

It's good to finally meet you, Steve. [She smiles.] Bucky has told me a little about you. All good things of course.

I still think you should go get some rest though.

He always tells people the good things. [There's an ironic tone in his voice.]

I'll get to it once I'm done here. I promise.

[Bonnie laughs.] He's a great guy. I like him.

Steve, I can cover the rest of your shift, it's no trouble.

He really is. It's hard not to like him. [For all their kidding around, Steve really considers Bucky his brother.]

Are you sure?

I'm sure. [She replies with a firm nod.] I don't want you getting any worse, okay?

Besides, Jo won't mind. She'd want you to get some rest.

Alright. [He can't exactly stay firm when there's a chance Jo and Bucky might get wise to this. Bonnie already has so this is a distinct possibility. What if they glare or give him disappointed looks?!]

But only if I can make it up to you later.

You don't have to make it up to me, Steve. I don't need anything in return.

[Still considering pushing him out the door.] All I want is for you to get well, okay?

[No one would blame Bonnie if she did.] Okay. You don't have to worry so much.

It's not that bad. [Steve will reluctantly shuffle off now.] Thanks Bonnie. It was nice meeting you.

Yeah, you too, Steve. I'll talk to you again I'm sure. Let me know when you're better, okay?

[And Bonnie is going to stand watch as he leaves, making sure he doesn't try to return.]

I will. [He'll get side tracked by Bucky and Jo but, mission mostly accomplished?]
