Welcome to my nightmare
Who: Sheena Fujibayashi and YOU!
What: Nightmare!
When: During the Nightmare Plot (backdated to the 5th)
Where: Her mind
Rating: PG?
[Sheena had planned to go back to Lloyd's house as soon as she could, but that plan was changed without her permission as she succumbed to whatever malevolent force decided to infiltrate the castle and put its residents to sleep.
Like many others, she now sleeps deeply, no movement or sound except the occasional protest as her slumber is interrupted by memories and nightmares she had long ago buried.
Memories that are now alive and well and waiting to share themselves with whoever crosses their paths.
Sleep well.]

Tonight, the part of Corrine will be played by:
But, you are not alone. You are with a group following and aiding the young summoner Sheena Fujibayashi, who very cautiously and trepidatiously approaches the dais where the Summon Spirit Volt makes his presence known. You watch as Sheena requests a pact with Volt, which he resoundingly refuses, lashing out with fatal lightning strikes, taking down whoever they strike--including whoever protects Sheena.
But, be warned, for that's only the beginning of this nightmare, for as with any good dream, things shift and change, and you'll find yourself the one watching as Volt takes away those you care about.
One by one. Over and over.]
[ooc: For this scenario, canonmates who take the place of Corrine will each have a different reaction from Sheena as her feelings for them are revealed. Her "it should have been me" attitude will be the trigger for the change, but of course, she doesn't become either the spectator or the victim.]
This is going to be awful~ <3
He doesn't think when a blast of lightening arcs toward Sheena; he acts, throwing himself in the way of the blast.]
Probably!
And screams one word:]
NO!!

I'm fine! Run!
no subject
No! Why?! Why did you do that? Please, don't die!
no subject
It's alright. It will take far more than this to kill me. Now quickly! Take cover until I can provide backup again!

... did I do this right?
But unfortunately, he has some friends with multiple forms. Duke reacts the same to a young elven man with odd hair extensions as the large gold-and-white creature, the same to a young elven woman with odd hair extensions as the large brown-blue-and-white creature.
... and even if there are only a few of them, there's a small variety of ways one can die from electricity. Charring is different from electrocution.
And soon Duke can't decide if he should curl up on the ground and try to hide from the sounds and scents or if he should run for the electric ball in attempt to make everyone he cares about stop dying by beating them to it. ]
It's fine!
How dare they and their ilk seek to make a new pact with him?
He is determined they learn the lesson that he won't be trifled with and like a cat with a mouse, torments his prey with near misses and bolts that both sizzle the skin and shock the system, but yet to do any real damage.]

Its only after Duke has to struggle to keep his limbs from trembling and refusing to support him that he starts thinking about hurting the spirit for what it kept doing a little more carefully.
He wasn't good with earth. Earth was opposite, right? What was opposite fire-and-wind? Duke tries to focus an Aqua Laser upon it, even if that was the other element he wasn't good with. ]

Not even a simple, civil conversation.
Instead, he continued his game of cat and mouse, aiming wherever he could to confuse them, scatter them, making them his targets to do with as he pleased.
But what is this? Did he somehow manage to miss one? Gliding over towards the white-haired man, he sent a bolt flying in his direction--a token warning before the Spirit got down to business.
Only to be surprised at the water-based spell aimed at him. It hits, but although it's his weakness, it does very little damage while angering him more and bringing his focus upon the man before him.]

The lightning hits, and Duke staggers, trying to focus again. The young mage had used it on him several times, it shouldn't take him that long to remember how Tidal Wave worked. Obviously he takes longer than he should, and the shape of the spell is wrong, and he might be swept off his feet by his own spell, but that's not what he cares about at the moment. ]

The Temple of Lightning-!?
[Except he sees Sheena in the way of some lightning strike, and without really thinking he moves to shove her out of the way. He was about to dodge too, but he wasn't fast enough and gets hit]
-- Ngh!

And that experience is only beginning as he pushes her out of the way, the epithet she's ready to hurl at him stilling before being spoken as she watches in horror as he's struck down.]
ZELOS!! YOU IDIOT!!!
no subject
Yeah...think I'll finally agree there.
no subject
NOW you agree with me?!
[Starts throttling him.]
Why?! Why would you do that, Zelos?! [Save her, not agree with her.]

Friends Don't Lie, Right?
And the voices. So many of them. Male, female, familiar, unfamiliar--all from the past... They start off barely audible, a murmur that forces you to listen intently to catch the words, phrases that can chill a person to the bone, especially when uttered by your best friend with such conviction that you know them to be true:
"You never should have survived. You never should have been born."
What will you do now?]
no subject
But these people? He has no idea who they are]
Ohhhkay how exactly did I make you mad?
no subject
You. Know. What. You. Did.
no subject
I'm getting a lot of that recently.

A new phrase can be heard, soft at first, until it becomes a cacophony of sound clashing with itself.]
It's your fault. It's your fault! IT'S YOUR FAULT!
["Your fault" echoes in the air and through the body, repeating endlessly through the mind and soul.]
