[When arriving in this dream, you'll find yourself in various parts of Paradisa whether it be the castle or the grounds. And boy, do things sure look different. The town is nothing more but rubble, with the farmlands surrounding it razed and salted. There is no sign of any towns person still being alive. The castle still stands, but it seems to lack the life it once had.]

[As for the residents? Well, they got a worst fate than the townspeople. If you come across most residents, there's a good amount of changes. First noticeable thing is they now have wings (some like fairies while most have typical white bird angel wings). They all seem to have a red crystal embedded on them. But worst of all? They are completely devoid of any personality or free thought. Their eyes seem dead and they only seem to respond to the wishes of the one who caused this]

[If you're lucky, you might come across someone who hasn't succumb to this fate - they seem to have taken to hiding in the forest or the mountains. If not? Well...good luck.]

[OOC: TLDR TIME YAY! A joint dream where essentially Mithos Yggdrasil showed up in paradisa and took things over! Pretty much meaning he destroyed the town and turned every resident into zombie-angels. The Symphonian cast (including Mithos cough) will be all over this, but anyone is free to participate in this dream too! If you wish to do so, we got a number of options if you want to more!

OPTION A - Returning Resident/ just wandered into this room.
You just wandered into this or have no idea what's going on. Try not to get killed by angels.

OPTION B - Survivor.
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, razing the town and claiming himself god. You were among one of the few lucky ones who escaped, who are currently in hiding and either want to find a way to take down Mithos- or find a way out into the Dead Zone where his hand has not reached yet. Maybe you're hiding in the rubble of the city, or the mountains or the forest. Try not to get killed by angels.

OPTION C - Former Angel.
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, razing the town and claiming himself god. But you were unlucky, and were among the residents who got turned into the mindless drones. You remember how you were forced to kill all the townspeople, help in turning fellow residents into mindless drones like you. But you got lucky in the way that someone saved you, put a keycrest (fancy piece of metal) on your crystal so you regained your mind. You're still an angel- you still don't eat, sleep and maybe even your sense of touch is diminished or gone- but at least you have a mind and soul again. Plus the enhanced senses, strength and reflexes are really nice too. Try not to get caught again.

OPTION D - Angel
You remember this and don't know it's just a dream. You remember when Mithos Yggdrasil started turning residents into angels, when he razed the town, when he claimed himself God of a now lifeless land. But you were unlucky, and were among the residents who got turned into the mindless drones. You have enhanced senses, strength, reflexes and wings. On the flipside, you don't eat, sleep, feel and talking is optional too (since many angels have no voices). You feel nothing. All you desire to do is follow Mithos and his great plan. Have fun.

[ Things changed indeed. Genis nodded, serious once more. They had to be careful if they were going to avoid getting caught. ]

Yeah.

They're everywhere. [ Once they start moving, his footfalls are rather quiet- it's something one tends to pick up after having to run and hide for the amount of time Genis has. One might even take him for a fugitive, for how he appeared- so messy. ]

[yeah, you might get shoved into a lake or river at some point with that Fugitive look about you. A lot has changed for Zelos, but there still were vestiges of his shallow streak and man you smell]]

[But he begins walking, towards the part of the forest that's closer to the mountains. It'd be safer there for awhile.]

Their numbers are thinner than Mithos'd like you to believe.

[It was a shortside of Mithos's plan, taking out the city. Sure, it was harder to get control of people that Paradisa had such a deep hold on, but by destroying them he took out thousands of potential soldiers. Now he just had the pool of a few hundred castle residents...a chunk of which have fled to the forests or Dead Zone. So he still had a good number and they are most likely outnumbered by a great deal...but much less than he gives the impression of.]

[The things you learn when you're a mindless pawn. ]

[ Don't worry, he probably wouldn't take it too offensively. Genis hasn't had much time to think about anything as trivial as bathing, at least compared to the other looming problems ahead.

He follows Zelos' lead, trusting him to know where to lead him, especially because he was once one of Mithos' pawns. And if he couldn't put his trust in him, then what was the point of traveling together? ]

Yeah? ... that's good. Then we have more of a chance.

[ he replies, pushing some of his messy hair out of his eyes as they kept going. ]

We have to try and change things eventually.

[wilder]

[Sorry Zelos has to be cynical forever here. ]

Don't get me wrong, we're still outnumbered. Just not by thousands.

[He snorts softly]

Yeah? And what would you do about Mithos? [he knows how you used to see him as a friend]

Yeah, but it's better than nothing.

[ The mention of Mithos makes him curl his lips down into a frown, and he looks straight at Zelos as he speaks. ]

What he's doing is wrong. If he doesn't see reason... we have to kill him.

[ He had a lot of time to sulk over this and mull it over, after all. But now, Mithos had crossed into unacceptable territory, for what he had done to everyone, and his friends.

But still... he desperately hopes he can make Mithos see reason. ]

[wilder]

[he looks at before he lets out a scoff noise]

Sorry, but I don't think he's anywhere near capable of hearing reason.

[In the old days, he'd shut up past that point. But now? After this latest round of what Mithos has done to systematically shatter him and ruin his life? He'll say the thing that's been on his mind for a long time.]

And even if you got him to go on his knees and beg for forgiveness? I'd still want his head on a platter.

Just so you know.

[ He gives him a little nod. As conflicted as he is... he can completely understand Zelos' position. ]

[ He's quiet for a little while, contemplating if he should reply or not before picking up the conversation again. ]

We have to find a way to get the others back, though. No matter what.

[wilder]

[WISE CHOICE GENIS, WISE CHOICE. ]

[The thoughts of the others like that still hurts. It was his fault. All his fault. Maybe others won't see it that way because he wasn't in control, but it still didn't change things]

[In a way...he kinda wishes Presea was here. She'd get it. Then again, he wished for a lot of things these days he knew weren't coming true]

Well, yeah. They don't want to be stuck like that.

[Then again what they would do after they were free...was another question]

Yeah. We'll need to sneak into the castle... they gather there when they're not patrolling, right?

[ He's skirting around the fact that Zelos had ended up doing this, mostly because he knew that Zelos wasn't himself... he was a bit sensitive about it- especially about Raine- but if Zelos didn't touch the topic, he wouldn't either. ]

We could try and do it carefully. One person at a time.

[wilder]

Going to the castle would be suicide, Squirt.

[He appreciates the skirting, in his own way. The things that went on...he rather not talk about them ever again. ]

[But he'll give a nod at the second part]

One at a time's a good idea best. But...I don't have the means to make keycrests.

[pocketmage]

Yeah, but if we don't, what do we do? Ambush them while they're on patrol? What if they call for back-up?

[ But he calms, trying to think. How could they make keycrests... keycrests... He immediately thinks of Lloyd and bites his lip. He can definitely remember the basics of it, but he doesn't know what charm to carve inside. It would be a fool's errand to do it. ]

Does anyone on the Resistance know how? I could go and get some.

Or...

[ He pauses, letting that trail off. No, convincing Lloyd to join them again was impossible, wasn't it? ]

[wilder]

Back-up would take longer to get there than it would at the castle. And in smaller numbers too.

[But the castle was a swarm, a hive. It's much easier to pick off people on the rims than go to the heart. He shrugs]

If Yuan's still alive, he might have some. Last I heard he was leading that group.

[He hasn't actually SEEN Yuan in person since regaining his soul. Still, news travels through the grapevines]

[ That makes sense. Genis gives a nod. ]

... Yuan? Then, if I find them and ask him to give me some... you don't have to come with me if you don't want to.

We could pick a meeting spot depending on what time I get back, too.

You look too dead on your feet to make that sorta trip.

... Well then, what do you suggest? We can't just do nothing.

[ Never mind the fact that he does indeed feel a bit lightheaded- he hasn't eaten or drank much other than the occasional rodent he could find, and water from the rivers. ]

Not in the long term, no. But if we rush into this before we're ready, we'll end up dead. Or worse.

So for now? Let's find a safe spot for you to rest and get some food. We can figure things out after that.

... [ He furrows his brow. ]

I... I guess.

[ he resigns, pushing his hair out of his face again. ]

We'll have to make sure we're ready...

Yep. It's important.

[And honestly? Even if he doesn't need sleep, between Tsuna, Arya and Genis he's mentally exhausted. He keeps walking]

C'mon. I think I know a good spot about twenty minutes from here.

[ He follows Zelos, admittedly tired. ]

Hey, that isn't so far.

[ he says in a pleasant sigh, pushing his hair back again as they go. Admittedly, despite being upset that they couldn't act now, he was happy to rest safely. ]

[wilder]

[he simply nods and falls into silence for a long time. It'll be a good five minutes before he finally speaks up]

...I'm sorry, for what it's worth.

[pocketmage]

[ When Zelos speaks up, Genis looks to him, hesitating, before looking down at the ground... it would be another minute before he moved a hand to gently pat his arm. ]

You couldn't do anything about it.

...

It would be stupid to be mad at you.

[Part of Zelos disagrees. He feels like there's so much more he could have done, even if there's little reality to those feelings. Done something more to make sure Mithos didn't get his hands on him, done something to resist getting his keycrest taken, found some way to stop himself from attacking his friends- from doing all those atrocities Mithos had him perform]

[Sometimes, he wondered if it was some sort of universal poetic justice. Before Lloyd, Zelos would always flippantly say he sided with the strongest, that he picked the winning side - he'd meant it too. And well, look what happened. He ended up on the front lines of this winning side the one time he didn't want to be]

Stupid or not, I still am. And I won't blame you if you are mad.

[Just...to make it clear.]

[ Genis simply balls up his hand in a fist and punches Zelos' forearm- he's not really strong, so it doesn't do much damage, but it probably gets the point across. ]

You're not the one who decided to do this. [ he grumbled. ] It was Mithos.

[ He feels a bit of a childish anger towards Zelos, maybe- but these past weeks and such have really been pushing him into a more adult way of thinking. He couldn't afford to be a child now. At least, not consciously.

If he did, he might never be able to save the others. ]

[wilder]

[Well, at least some things haven't changed...even if everything else has. Sheesh brat. ]

Okay okay! Just making it clear!

And I'm just making it clear that it's not your fault.

[ He raises an eyebrow at him, and can't help but crack a smile after a good moment of quiet, chuckling a little. ]

Hehe.

[ It's kind of liberating to have company that he knows, even if it isn't one of his best friends. ]
