[From a boy like Tsuna, you wouldn't imagine the nightmares to be as hellish as other resident's were. To some extent, this is true; however, his nightmare does not revolve around petty fears. These nightmares are not littered by events of the past, but are shaped by apprehension for the future. The nightmares have differing situations, but there is one feeling that rings strongly through them all.

[And then she turns right around and takes Tsuna by the arm. They're...probably going to be chased for this.]

Come on, don't just stand here!

[Tsuna... doesn't react to Jane, or her touch. He stands there, silently, awaiting his punishment.

The crowd has mixed emotions about Jane's reaction. "What do you think you're doing?!" "Maybe she's one of his henchmen!" "Sweetheart, be careful! Get away from that monster!" "Don't you know who he is?!"]

[Oh, they can't let well enough alone, can they? But she's not going to acknowledge them. She tugs Tsuna a little harder.]

Tsuna, please, we have to get away from here!

[not_mafia]

[He still doesn't move, but at least it gets a little reaction out of him. He lifts his head slightly, just barely looking at the girl. When he speaks, his voice are as hollow as his eyes.]

Jane...

[The crowd's definitely getting aggravated. It's not long before they start getting violent again.]

[Well, fuck it, Jane's not sticking around for that and she would never leave a friend behind to do so, either. She's tugging pretty hard now.]

Come ON! We've got to RUN!!

[Tsuna's not sure where they're running to-- it seems like the mob's got them surrounded on all sides-- but he finally gives into the tugging, pretty much being half-dragged by Jane.]

[Jane's got no idea where she's going , but it's definitely away from here. She holds Tsuna tightly, as if bracing the connection, before-]

I'm sorry, there's no other way! Just keep your head down!

[Bam, right into the other side of the crowd. Surely there can't be as many people on this side as there were on the other, can there?]

[As they barrel through, Jane can feel the resistance; not just of the people ahead of her, but the people behind them, grabbing viciously at Tsuna; she might even catch the sound of the cloth on him being torn.

Just as they break through, someone roughly grabs Tsuna by his other arm. A soft noise of discomfort comes from Tsuna; it's now a tug of war between Jane and the crowd, and Tsuna doesn't seem to be helping either way.]

[While not the best idea, she wasn't sure what else to do, and now poor Tsuna is paying for it. With a grunt, she manages to go from holding his arm to holding his torso and pulling back. She is NOT going to dislocate his arm from doing this.]

[That's a pretty good idea! Eventually the person gives way, but now they've got an angry mob after them. Uh-oh.]

[cyan_maid]

[It's not like Jane is going to just slow down for them, though! She's got Tsuna's hand again, and she's running as fast as her legs can take her...would it kill Tsuna to move it some? With him lagging, they might be caught!!]

Jane... Just let me go.

[cyan_maid]

Huh?!

[She glances back to look at you.]

This is no time to be kidding! I can't let them swallow you up!!!

[not_mafia]

They won't stop. Not until they've had their way with me.

[cyan_maid]

[Jane tightens her grip.]

But I can't leave you behind - I refuse to!

[not_mafia]

Didn't you hear them? All those things they said weren't lies.

[cyan_maid]

[Really? For real? Jane looks doubtful, but arguing about how believable something is just does not jive with running for your life.]

I'm not going to throw you to a den of lions! I'm your friend, for goodness' sake!!

[ugh, fine. maybe he'll pick up the pace.

[Oh thank goodness he's running faster! Jane gives his hand a reassuring squeeze and keeps going.]

[The mob doesn't seem to be slowing, though! Maybe you should find a place to hide?]

[cyan_maid]

[Jane's looking - oh hey, that looks like a big building there! Lots of places to hide out for a while until the mob loses their scent...Jane makes a beeline for it.]

[not_mafia]

[After a bit of a scramble, they're safe inside, although who knows for how long.

Tsuna is still silent and nearly unresponsive.]

[Perhaps he will be impressed by Jane's avoidance skills? She read about these tricks in a detective book once.

First, she locks the front door, and then she makes a beeline for a nearby elevator and, with the arm holding Tsuna sticking out the doorway, she manages to make it think it's taking people up to the tippy-top floor. Next, she finds the doorway to a stairwell and makes sure it's propped open, to draw people to it.

After all of that, the mob must certainly be close now. She turns down a hallway, pulling Tsuna all the way to the end and randomly opening doors along the way. She ducks into the very last one and slams the door shut behind them, panting and panting.]

[Quietly:]

You're hiding a criminal, Jane.

[cyan_maid]

[She looks over at you, still panting, and firmly shakes her head.]

You've done nothing wrong. I'm hiding a friend.
