Halloween ] [ when all the little ones come and play

What: Halloween!! Trick'or Treating and a Slumber Party!

Early when you rise, it feels like you've had the best night's sleep. You're well-rested and the air outside the window is crisp and showing more than just the signs of fall. Mostly, because the seasons are weird here. You should be used to that. The castle has opted to go simple for the holiday, providing only invitations to all to take the children of the castle Trick or Treating starting at three in the afternoon. There is the promise of a slumber party and time to exchange and enjoy candy. Residents are given bags of candy to hand out (though the castle suspects some might simply eat it themselves) and large Halloween themed bowls.

Costumes are hung, ready to be worn, for all the little boys and girls. With spider rings around their toothbrushes and glow in the dark vampire teeth in their water glass, the castle is glad that the young ones are so excited for the holiday. They all get dressed, proudly displaying their costume, and head down to meet the rest of the children where they hope to have a memorable Halloween for many years to come.

Well, there aren't usually that many in the castle. But then again, I was hearing a lot of young voices earlier.

So maybe? If not, we gotta eat all this candy by ourselves.

[Carolina laughs lightly as she finally turns around to face him.]

I'm okay with that rule.

Good. [Hey, he's allowed to be worried when she suddenly starts working on a project like that. So York will lift up the cider mug as if in toast.]

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum after all the kids get to sleep?

[Nodding, Carolina climbs up onto her feet and letting him distract her from her blueprint.]

Excited to have a few more kids around?

[Oh, good. He'll practice one of his pirate poses before reaching out to her in what's clearly an invitation for an embrace.]

You know I like kids. Even when they're annoying, it's not nearly as deliberate as when adults do it.

[Grinning, she'll step up to him so he can have his manly pirate embrace.]

Not like South. [Honestly, Carolina doesn't know what to do with South other than continue to support her from a distance. After all, the other woman flipped between wanting a team and hating all of them depending on the day.]
