Halloween ] [ when all the little ones come and play

What: Halloween!! Trick'or Treating and a Slumber Party!

Early when you rise, it feels like you've had the best night's sleep. You're well-rested and the air outside the window is crisp and showing more than just the signs of fall. Mostly, because the seasons are weird here. You should be used to that. The castle has opted to go simple for the holiday, providing only invitations to all to take the children of the castle Trick or Treating starting at three in the afternoon. There is the promise of a slumber party and time to exchange and enjoy candy. Residents are given bags of candy to hand out (though the castle suspects some might simply eat it themselves) and large Halloween themed bowls.

Costumes are hung, ready to be worn, for all the little boys and girls. With spider rings around their toothbrushes and glow in the dark vampire teeth in their water glass, the castle is glad that the young ones are so excited for the holiday. They all get dressed, proudly displaying their costume, and head down to meet the rest of the children where they hope to have a memorable Halloween for many years to come.

[Dairine takes the handle from her belt, holds it out in front of her with both hands--

And suddenly a beam of light appears where the blade should be. A soft blue-almost white color, the light hums with energy.]

[The swearing doesn't bother Dairine much, though the jargon is uncommon -- she is in middle school after all.]

It's called the Force. [Or at least that's what it was supposed to run on. Her's was more like a mix of tech and wizardry.]

"An energy field created by all living things." [Dairine quotes, being the geek that she is.] It has a Light side, a Dark side, and holds the universe together.

All I see is a light side. [No, he doesn't really get it]

That's because I'm a jedi.

[Her smile is simply beaming. She always wanted to say that, if you can't tell.]

What do jedi's do?

[wizard_redfive]

They use the Light Side of the Force and fight the Dark Side to keep balance and justice in the galaxy.

Powers. Sounds complicated.

[wizard_redfive]

Not really. Just think of it as "fighting the bad guys." That makes things much simpler.

[He thinks about this a moment]

Hmmm. Alright. I guess I get that.

[wizard_redfive]

See? [Dairine smiles.] It's not that hard.

Say, I don't think I've seen you around here before. What's your name?

[pharaohlighting]

Felix. [He grins] You?

[wizard_redfive]

Felix? [She stares at him in shock for a moment. Now that she really looks at him, the teen does have Felix's hair and eyes, though she'd never guess it was him judging from his attitude. Must be a loss.

Then she realizes that she's staring. Whoops, awkward...]
